Ready to go! Super easy to upgrade!
So I wanted to test out the brushed model versus the brushless motor. And as you all know brushless is usually going to be faster and it's always been the case for me. But here are the benefits to this. This model is exactly bolt for bolt with their other brushless models. So let's say you buy this one for I think I got it for what with the bundle price it was only 80 bucks or something like that. But I had a ton of extra parts.I think this is a perfect starter vehicle for kids between the ages of like 5 and 14 something like that. The reason I say that is it's not super fast but it is extremely easy to handle. The batteries last a decent amount of time. But I would love to mention the fact that there is so much room underneath the shell that it easily fits two batteries. I actually added two of my own which are much larger than the ones that comes with. And because hosim gives you two very large straps I was easy to secure it in there and I went for almost 45 minutes with just those two batteries. And this was at night I usually drive at night anyways. So what would I recommend? If you're going to just keep this as is. And you're only going to go through one battery at a time and then park it you don't need to do anything. It'll be fine. But let's say you buy your kids some more batteries and they got like four or five of them. Just buy a 25x25 millimeter fan it screws right onto the heat sink that's provided. That way the motor will stay cool and you will have no issues.I did read in some reviews that people didn't like the sound of the gears or it sounded like it was getting stuck. Well I went to AutoZone got myself a can of white lithium grease. The ones with like the little red straw. And I do this with all my vehicles. I make sure I spray each wheel where the bearings are. And also on each side of the rear and front differentials. And with this one right below the motor there's like a little lug nut sort of thing I sprayed that and it moved much smoother. But some people have to realize is when these things sit in a box for however long whatever oil that they were made with or Grease. they tend to sometimes just go dry. That's not that big of a deal. Also if you are like me and constantly lose the pins this comes built into the shell so no more losing pins. And I took quite a few tumbles with this thing My dog was chasing it she knocked it over a few times and I've gone through eight batteries now and haven't had any issues.

Built like a tank and worth the money
Thing is built like a tank and has held up to all kinds of bashing, good run time, decent speed for a brushed motor, lots of fun kids are loving still

Don’t waste your money on this find a better one!
It works and this one the motor didn’t burn up the brushes in two batteries. As far as build quality the chassis should hold up decent but the motor is junk. Even the new one doesn’t have the power this size truck really needs. Controller is crappy made. Feels very very cheap for the money they want for this truck. Batteries seem fine hold charge and good run time. Overall compared to other Chinese trucks I own this one is junk. I will keep this one cause I am sick of returning junk trucks back. If this truck had a much stronger motor and better controller I might consider give it a better review. As far as buying another hosim never again. There are way better trucks in this price point if you look around. I have owned trucks from tamiya losi traxxis and was hoping that this might be a decent truck to drive around the apartments but I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews as most of them are correct about this being junk. Ok getting a refund as throttle on remote now sticks. Not worth the money I paid for it!!!!!!!!!!

Worth it
Seems like a well built car. Very nice styling! It does have oil filled shocks and foam inserts in the tires. It is a bit slow though. Would be excellent for a beginner. It is closer to a 12th scale in actual size.I will be making it brushless soon. Then it should be fantastic. Overall for the price I do recommend. A good starter and a great platform to upgrade!

Great Beginner's RC! Lots of fun! 😀
First off, this is a beginner's RC car. It's not for a small child, as this requires some care, but a preteen or up will really enjoy it. I'm 40 and I mostly bought it so my dog could chase it around the yard while I got to enjoy trying to outsmart him with twists and turns. The first half the battery my dog can't keep up, the second half he's about a foot behind it at all times. Battery time seems about right, around 10min or so, but I bought some extra ones that are double the capacity so I get more run time. I also enjoy bringing it inside and tinkering with it, checking the wheels, ect.I recommend getting this if you haven't had a good RC cars before, or if your considering the hobby. Most of the cars I had as a kid suffered when driving in the grass and dirt, even when marked off road. With that experience, I was worried about this one. Well, not this one, it's super zippy and a blast to play with while it's kicking up dust and debris from my yard.

It’s fun but the batteries are dangerous
This thing is a blast. I don’t use it much but it’s fun when I do use it. The only issue I had is a big one and that’s the batteries. I charge them and then unplug them and put them in a little container. Unfortunately one of the batteries burst. Thankfully it didn’t start my house on fire but now I’m down to one battery.
