Full indoor/outdoor rig for a £110
For £40 you get a good 2m/70cm band radio that transmits and receives very well on the 144-146mhz and the 430-450mhz frequencies, It has 10watts of power which opens up my nearest repeater 8 miles away with a Nagoya 771 antenna inside my house at the window. Also sounds brilliant on the airband 118-136mhz recieve only frequencies, it receives the other frequencies it covers very well. I use mine indoors with a Skyscan 25-2000mhz antenna on the window and have no problems although you'll need a bnc male to sma female adapter to fit the antenna to the radio. You can buy the radio and Skyscan Desktop antenna and a Nagoya Antenna for walking outside for a £110 and have a great little mobile or house setup.Hope this helps. Ps the antenna that comes supplied with it is Crap

Brilliant Radio
Great little Radio, the sound quality is very good airband is clear but as others have said the instructions are very poor but there are loads of tutorial videos on YouTube if you get stuck, fantastic radio for the money also the usb c charging facility is handy.

Very poor on AM
I guess you get what you pay for. The AM airband reception is very poor with a lot of background noise even on a strong signal. The worst problem however is that on airband the first 0.5 to 1 second of audio is very distorted - it seems as though the AGC (if there is any!) is too slow to react and the receiver is overloading. I emailed Radtel and asked about this problem and received a reply which said "this is normal" I'm sorry Radtel but this shouldn't be normal. For this reason will be returning this radio to Amazon.

Complicated, poor instructions.
Its a great little radio, well made, but the instructions are useless, it does not show you what band you are on, if you put in a frequency, if it finds it, you have it!! I'm still trying to work it out, I want to store a frequency, but don't know how. I only want the Air Band, so its ok, for the money its brilliant, lots of features, but, I don't know how to use them!!! Anyone offer any help? And the backlight keeps turning off, and I want it on. Well worth buying though. 👍

Everyone needs instructions
I thought this was a quality product, and would love to have used it, but no instructions in box, so essentially unusable, sent letters to supplier and manufacturer, no dice, so have returned to amazon, shame!
