My 11 year old granddaughter wanted to try a casting net. She is more interested in just learning how to throw it. She loves fishing and has her own tackle box pretty full with tackle and lures.

This net is good for someone who is just starting out. It’s easy to cast however, the weights are too light and the sink rate is very slow. The net is not high-quality and it won’t last long. One small snag will put a hole in it. If you’re looking for a cheap net to learn how to cast with this is the perfect net. If you’re seasoned at casting nets this is not for you. I give this three stars only because it’s a perfect starting net.

I thought being a 6-foot casting it would have been built stronger but I have a 3-ft cast net that I bought off Walmart and it's still better than that one The rope too small and swivel is too small for a 6-ft cast net

I haven't gotten a chance to use this yet but, it is great quality, way better than I was expecting. With the instructions, provided, I am sure it will be easy to use. Good product for the cost.

Weights seem good qualty. The long cord frays and tangles. The net would quickly tangle within itself.
