I did a no screw application
I use two little sticky strips with a 15 pound rating to install these on both our apartment. Front door and balcony door works great keeps the kids out of the balcony area and from opening the front door in and bolting off. would happily have used the screws they sent but apartment complex being brand new is highly against anything being screwed into the structure of the doors.
