Sugary jelly chew
I ordered these OTE Energy Chews primarily for my cycling sessions. The first thing I noticed was the resemblance in texture and taste to those concentrated jelly bars. Yep, that's right. If you've ever had one of those, you'll know exactly what I'm on about. Now, onto the taste. They've got a decent strawberry flavour. It's not too overpowering but hits the right notes when you're gasping for something to chew on in the midst of a gruelling session. However, the price is a touchy subject for me. At £2 a pop, I felt it was a bit steep for what I got. Especially when you consider the size of these bars. Don't get me wrong, they do the job in keeping the hunger pangs at bay, and after popping one, I didn't feel like munching on anything else.🍓 Pros:💪 Provides a quick energy boost🌱 Vegan and gluten-free😋 Tasty strawberry flavour🍓 Cons:💷 Pretty pricey at £2 per bar🍬 High sugar content📏 Smaller than expectedTo wrap it up, if you can snag these on a deal, they're worth a try. They might not be everyone's cup of tea due to the sugar content and the price, but for a quick energy surge during intense activities, and if you can get them on an offer then they're a decent pick.

Taste really nice.
These energy bars do taste really nice. They are a jelly texture or giant gummy bar. They are great for sports and other activities to help keep you going. A good alternative to energy drinks. However they are not cheap. They work out at £2 a bar which I personally wouldn’t pay for an energy bar. Most energy drinks are cheaper than these so I think the price could put some people off. It is a shame as they are really nice.

Flavoured sugar
I really was hoping when I got this product this was not the review I was writing, but there was no surprise here.Essentially this product is individually wrapped full sugar jelly blocks. Having compared the nutritional values these are quite frankly a waste of money as they have the same nutritional value as the block jelly you get from the supermarket for a fraction of the price. The flavour is a strong strawberry flavour and the only saving grace these have. All the energy they give comes from carbs, which they do not hide, but almost all of that is from sugars. They will give an effective short lived sugar rush of energy which would lead to a sugar crash after.Thre is no way I can recommend a product that is essentially diabetes in a little overpriced pack. There are much better and affordable ways of getting energy for example a sugar free pre-workout powder.

It's Basically A Tasty Sweet
I've had energy products before but they tend to have a generous amount of caffeine which gives you a pharmacological boost. This, however, is just a sweet bar. It's under 100 calories but is just 30g of sugar. Sure this will be great for a long run or ultra event, where you will burn through carbs like no one's business, so if this is what you're using it for, knock yourself out, but at £2 a bar, you may be better off will jelly babies or a bag of Haribos.
