Better than the simulated leather that comes with the headphones originally or is on other replacements which all eventually shed.These fit nice and don't ever shed so I won't have to keep buying the replacements

I've had the same Sony MDR-506 headphones for a very long time, and I have no interest in replacing them as long as they work. I've swapped the ear cups twice for stock faux-leather ones, and of course the exterior coating flakes off after a while.I tried these ones instead this time, and noticed a couple of things: 1) They went on way easier than the stock ones. These have a thinner "rim" that slips into the groove by itself with minimal adjustment and seats perfectly because it has a slightly stronger elastic holding it in. No more having to push it in with a small flathead or anything to fully seat it. 2) They are way more comfortable for extended wear because they're a bit deeper so the headphones sit slightly further off your head and it just feels better. 3) The audio quality seems to be unchanged. I've listened to a few of my favorite songs that have "demanding" mixes in terms of how sensitive they are to audio device quality, and my experience was just as good as with stock ear cups.These are great, I highly recommend them.

Comfortable and a perfect fit.

My old ones deteriorated and these were the perfect replacement. I actually like them better than the original ones.

Comfy & Breathable & cool. Fit perfect. Easily over small ears. Ears don't touch the inside or edges. Easy to install. They don't change the sound I love. Maybe even sound better. Should have bought them a long time ago

Great fit, comfortable, and much less expensive than the OEM replacements. I'd previously gone through two sets of OEM replacements, and after the last set started flaking to bits after ~2 years of moderate use, I'd had enough. Glad I found these.(Sony MDR-7506)

I opted for mesh pads,thought they would hold up better,as i use them with my electric drums( sweating,swinging,etc)..because they are more " airy" i think i lose abit of volume/ sound...if i get a chance,i may buy other set to see if thats true...but they are comfy,so if youre not banging around and just chilling,these are nice to have..beats the flaking ones youre replacing.
