A Miracle for Dry, Scaly Skin—Wish I Had Found This Sooner!
This lotion has been life-changing for my skin! I’ve struggled with dry, scaly skin for years, and nothing ever seemed to work—until now. After using the Ammonium Lactate Lotion consistently, I can finally say my skin is smooth and hydrated for the first time in ages. I wish I had known about this product years ago!The lotion absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy, making it perfect for daily use. The results are incredible; my skin feels softer and looks healthier than ever. However, a word of caution: do not use this lotion immediately after a body scrub or shaving—it can cause a bit of burning or stinging. Now that I know, I avoid applying it to freshly exfoliated areas, and it’s been fine. I read other reviews regarding the delivery of the product, and I must say my first delivery was fine, with nothing leaking; however, in my second delivery, there was spillage, but not enough to return it. Hope the subsequent delivery is better packed. This product has completely transformed my skincare routine, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone dealing with rough, dry, or scaly skin. It’s a game-changer!

Good value and effective
Works well, better value than competitors, it can be slightly sticky until dry but less sticky than others I've tried but that's just the nature of lactic acid lotion it's a dermatological medicine. It definitely helps and is as effective as amlactin and has the same active ingredient. It is unscented so there is just a mild medical smell to the lotion. It will leave your skin very soft.

Life saver/ Game changer/ My favorite product in the whole wide world
Not one for long reviews but this product is a literal life saver! Disclaimer* this might not work for YOUR face, but for me, this is a GAME CHANGER. (Product description / online advice advises not to use on face without consulting a doctor***)I do suffer from occasional breakouts, but they don't bother me as much as the bumps all over my face. To paint a picture - I am in my late 20s, and have combination skin. I have these tiny flesh colored bumps all over my face - not blackheads, not whiteheads. Even without makeup, my skin never looked nice because of these bumps... I was honestly hopeless, have tried almost everything to even out my skin and NOTHING worked well enough to stick with it. Saw a thread on Instagram from a person who used Dr Bronners Tea Tree soap + this and decided it was worth a shot since both items were like $12 each. I have no words. Used the Dr Bronners with CVS Facial Cleansing Power Brush (same thing as the clarasonic, for $20, and has lasted me 8 months). I dry my face. Put a dollop of this Ammonium Lactate Lotion on a cotton pad, and wipe my face with it. It does tingle/ burn, and turn my face reddish for about 5- 10 mins. Once I feel it's settled in, I add a drop of my moisturizer (neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer - without sunscreen). I also wipe off any excess lotion that may have went onto my lips, as it will usually cause my lips to chap or swell a bit, and then layer on some good chapstick. Within TWO days I noticed an extreme difference in my face. I don't wear makeup to work (ever - before this, or now) and the second day after using, two people asked me if I had gotten a facial or peel. My skin is baby soft and 10x more even. The bumps are not completely gone - but closest I have ever gotten to it in over 14 years. I literally cannot rave about this product enough if you have troublesome skin (probably won't be great on your face if you have good or very sensitive skin to begin with). Funny thing, one of the women who asked if I had a facial, when I told her the product I had tried, she said she has been using it for YEARS and this woman no joke has the skin of a 25 year old and is in her late 40s. Obviously, lotion can only do so much, but really this has helped me in ways diet or expensive products never ever could. This is NOT paid review & sorry for rambling but I wish I knew about this sooner. Soooooooooo worth the $.

Superb Moisturizer, Great Chemical Exfoliant
This is not something you will want to smear on your face after a long, hot shower with some rich, deep exfoliation. If you have fresh or open skin, give it a little time to close back up, first. This product contains 12% lactic acid - an acid found in dairy products. Lactic acid is commonly used to treat try and sensitive skin because it is pretty gentle as far as the AHA/BHA acids go. It is not an oil-soluble acid (like salicylic acid), and so it does need to be applied to clean (though not necessarily exfoliated) skin so that it can really soak into the skin and make a difference. I would suggest washing your body part, allowing it to air-dry for ten or fifteen minutes (so that the skin is actually really dry - not just dry to the touch), and then putting this on so that it is soaked up nice and deep. This product is great for itchy skin, dry skin, and is proven to be clinically effective in improving hyper-keratinic skin conditions such as keratosis pilaris. All in all, it is an excellent moisturizer and a great source of a gentle daily (or every-other-day) chemical exfoliation. As with any exfoliation routine, I would encourage you to start out slow... maybe use this on day 1 and 4 of each week for two or three weeks, then days 1, 3, and 5, and then just gradually increase the frequency. Be sure, too, to not use this with any other harsh cleansing products (a salicylic face wash, glycolic or trichloracetic peels) unless your skin is accustomed to being treated aggressively - otherwise, your pores will revolt by turning bright red and burning with the fury of a hundred thousand suns.

Great for skin appearance
It’s too early to say however it does have a very strong chemical smell that I don’t like.
