This is the way to go if you have an older truck. I attempted to install the internals into the existing bypass, but there was enough corrosion on the existing valve that it would not come apart. This, however, bolted right on in less than 10 minutes. The results are good; transmission operating temperatures have gone down from around 190 to a consistent 130.The addition of the magnetic bolt is nice. I haven’t observed any metal shavings in the fluid, but if there are, this will capture them. Great product, easy install, and a great value in my opinion.

Fits perfectly. Installs in less than 15 minutes and the temperature has stayed below 200°F in 90 degree temperature.

Works as intended. Keeps my transmission round 150. Does not come with gasket. I used my old one but you will more than likely want a new gasket. Easy install and i like the magnetic bolt. Fits perfectly.

Awesome, product. Easy to install. I tested this on my truck at 60 F ambient temperatures. At constant highway speeds the transmission stayed around 135 F. If I do a lot of slow and stop and go driving I could get it as high was 150 but as soon as you start moving air through the cooler again the temps immediately start dropping again.My only complaint is they don’t ship these with the magnetic plug tightened and I didn’t check it. I was already looking for leaks anyway so not a big deal but it came pouring out of the top magnetic check port since it was not tight from the factory.

Fit perfectly on my 2015 Tahoe. Took about 45 minutes to install. I didn't remove the drive shaft and I was working on the ground. I had to remove the bolt holding the original that's how I was able to get to lines. Runs 30-40 degrees cooler on the freeway. 190° to 150° to 160°

Very high quality replacement part to keep your 6L80 transmission running cooler by deleting the factory transmission Thermal Bypass. Only reason for only 4 stars is the placement ov the service plug. The service plug with a magnet is a great feature, but ONLY if it's accessible once installed. Being on top surrounded by exhaust, & front 4x4 drive shaft, it's about impossible to remove without removing the whole assembly first. Looks good online until you see it installed.

Great product, the highest transmission temp that I've seen in 2018 Silverado is 165 degrees. Before it was surpassing 195 degrees. Very easy to install.
