It's creamy, absorbed quickly and actually did effectively and noticeably improve the texture and evenness of my skin. It wasn't too heavy or too light. I didn't notice any kind of fragrance. I was impressed that it didn't irritate my very sensitive skin. It felt very decadent and luxurious.The price point is way up there. While it is effective and high quality, I'm not sure I'd be able to afford using this long term. But, if you're looking to spoil yourself a bit, I recommend giving it a try.

I had never heard of this brand before, mainly because it’s way out of my normal price range. After some research online, I found that it’s a premium brand that’s been around for a while and has a lot of loyal users. I can see why! First of all, the packaging is beautiful and is on par for a luxury brand. The blue bottle is stunning, but this isn’t just a pretty bottle. I’ve been using it daily for about a week now and I can honestly see a difference. It makes my skin feel wonderful. Yesterday I forgot to put on moisturizer and the only reason I even remembered later in the day is because my jar of moisturizer was still sitting out on my bathroom counter. And I NEVER go without moisturizer! It’s a thin, creamy serum that spreads easily and absorbs in completely. One pump is all I need for my whole face. Two pumps would be ample for neck and décolleté as well as your face. It is listed as unscented, but I notice a little bit of smell when I first apply it - and the smell isn’t that great. I’ve noticed my skin is softer and smoother and I do see a slight lessening of my lines and wrinkles. I’ve only been using it for a week, so I can only imagine with continued use I will see even better results. I’m a fan!

I've been using this for about three weeks and have been noticing improvements already. This is a very soft, velvety serum and a little bit goes a long way. I've noticed much softer skin and slight reductions in fine lines and wrinkles already. I'm sure, over time, this will keep showing more improvements. It does have an odd smell, but nothing intolerable for me. If the price isn't a setback, this would definitely be a product worth trying.

I was so happy to be able to try out The Retinol Serum. It is quite pricey (more than I’ve ever spent on skincare), but wow, it leaves your face so incredibly soft! I seriously couldn’t stop touching my face, it was so soft and smooth! The serum comes packaged quite nicely. Once you take it out of the box it definitely looks high end. It’s pretty enough to leave right out on my bathroom counter. It’s a pretty big bottle too for the price.The serum is more of a lighter texture serum with no stickiness whatsoever. It absorbs very quickly without leaving any shininess to my face. The very first time I used it I noticed a more smoothness to my skin since it’s so hydrating. I’ve been using it faithfully twice a day now for about a week and have had no skin irritation from it. It says it’s unscented but it does have a little bit of a weird smell to me, almost a slight musty smell. It’s pretty subtle so I can put up with scent as long as the skincare works! If this serum is within your budget I would definitely recommend giving it a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

This is a high end retinol cream. It seems to be working well so far. The price seems steep, but I have seen a noticeable difference so far.

The Retinol Serum is elegantly packaged and exudes luxury. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I am very careful about how much I use at one time since a little goes a long way. I have used retinol creams before and if you’re not careful, you can end up with red, irritated skin. However, the Augustinus Bader product feels different. It goes on silky smooth, and my face feels soft and velvety afterward. It’s difficult to explain, but I can definitely feel a noticeable difference.

Thank goodness for the Vine program! This serum is one of those items I would look at, sigh in disappointment due to price, and keep looking for something else. Because of the Vine program, I got to try it. As other reviewers have mentioned, this serum qualifies for "Luxury, premium, ultra high end" and any other description you can think of. I did a skin trial: inside of elbow, inside of wrist, back of hand, as with other facial care items that are new to me. I had a little burning on the inside of my elbow, but no place else. Tried a little on my cheek - no reaction. The serum is very creamy, and I only picked up a scent when I stuck my nose almost into the serum. It absorbs very quickly, and my face felt wonderful after applying. My skin tends to be sensitive and I only use serums at night, which is how I'm using this. Since 1 pump for my face and 1 pump for neck & chest, I think this bottle will last for quite a while. The presentation is unique and impressive. But honestly, I'd rather have a shorter bottle with a flat bottom that I don't have to worry about knocking off the counter all the time. I'm a world class klutz, and the bottle will be a constant pain for me. I have rearranged my area and it sets inside a container where it's more protected, except when in use. Then I watch it roll off the sink when I set it down. Sheer cost will keep be from every ordering again. Somehow, when I see a payment plan offered for a skin care prodcut, I have to rethink things.
