The hydraulic brakes do not come pre-assembled.
I was going to leave a more critical review, but it turns out that the "problems" i encountered with these brakes were partly my fault: the cabling is too long (that's on me: I should have measured) and I assumed that they came pre-assembled, but they don't (I find the image _somewhat_ misleading). In order to install these, you have to remove the threaded sleeve and "dongle" from the lever and then disassemble the temporary "stopper" on the caliper-side of the tubing. Then fit the sleeve over the tubing and slip on the brass coupler. Insert the end of the tubing, coupler, and sleeve into the lever and tighten snugly (this will form a crush seal between the lever and the coupler and, hopefully, seal the system). However, as you do all of this, some air will get into the system, which will necessitate a complete system bleed. Also, there's no documentation, so unless you know what you're doing, good luck with the install... you'll get brake fluid everywhere and have 100% non-functioning brakes.I thought I was paying extra for something I could just bolt on, but I got the worst of both worlds: high cost and complex installation.

Great!
I was really happy with this hydraulic disc brake set! Was a bit tricky to setup but once I did it worked out great! very happy with how strong and sensitive the brakes are.

Exact match for my Escooter
Man I wish there were two of these in the package. My Escooter had an option when I bought it to pick mechanical brakes or hydrolic brakes. I chose mechanical since it was cheaper & I knew I could always replace them with hydrolics whenever I wanted. These exact Nutt brakes are what is offered in that option. So this was an easy choice. These brakes came with a 160-180 adapter but I already had an adapter to fit my 140 disc's from the mechanical calipers. These brakes even use the same pads at my older calipers. Switching was easy. These brakes do have better stopping power & I like that I only need a finger or two to pull the brake lever. The trade off when going to hydrolic brakes is a lack of In line adjustments & caliper/ brake lever adjustments like mechanical has. But there's less adjusting needed with hydrolic. So I'd say this Nutt brake is a good buy. I'm pleased to be able to test out at least one. It will allow me to purchase the other one I need without worry.
