The GI
Met my needs. Very helpful in measuring effects of certain foods on blood sugar. Wish it had quantity of proteins, fats, sodium per serving by each food, fruit etc

Special information for diabetics
This is good to have

There's too much information that is not applicable to real-life eating.
1. The front page has lists of seasoning in quantities that few people would eat, e.g., 3 c. of Curry leaves or 3 c. of Bay leaves. It's a total waste of space! And 3 c. of Vanilla Pods, who can afford that luxury?2. Page 2 has lists of baking ingredients that's ridiculous! Who eats a whole cup of any flour or Cocoa powder or corn starch? And a serving size of Molasses is 11 Tbsp, really? I'm seeing a Diabetic Coma getting ready to happen!3. Finally, page 4 gets real, giving realistic serving sizes of fruits. I'm glad to know I can eat 9 Kumquats and feel comfortable about the GI Index. Of course, they are a rare commodity in our grocery stores.4. The information about Cereals, Grains, Pasta and vegetables seems to be on target, except who eats 10 cloves of Garlic? There are no Vampires where I live!I can use some of the information in this list, so I will keep it just in case I get the urge to eat 3 cups of Spirulina Powder!

I should have read the reviews more closely
I thought I was getting two lists of diabetic foods. Nope, it's the exact same list that they send you two of. I don't need two copies of the same information. I should have saved my money & downloaded a free app of diabetic foods.

Not exactly what I wanted
I purchased for a friend. I like the GI scale at the top. Color coding helpful to locate specific foods with ease. However, some of the serving sizes are unreasonable and are confusing to someone newly diagnosed, ie: number for chili powder has a serving size of 3 cups.
