great walkie-talkie, but not like American WTs
I had very low expectations, having tried other Chinese WTs. These Baofengs don't have the usual features you get from Midland or Motorola. No display, no Call button, no roger beep, no choice of CTCSS tones. You change channels up/down with the side buttons and a tinny voice announces it.Also the rubber buttons on the side are too easily pressed. I ripped out the rubber with pliers and I can now use the buttons with a screw driver or pen point. The good news is these WTs have excellent transmit and receive, with 1.3 Watts power (according to FCC ID 2AJGM-T26). Sound is excellent. Has rotary volume control, not annoying button-press. Rotary control is also power on-off. A single LED to indicate xmit/recv. And very light-weight only 102g with battery (by my scale). Recharge battery with USB-C. And the WT is low-priced.When you go from one channel to the next, you get pre-programmed CTCSS/DCS tones. For example, if you choose "Ch. 6", you get FRS 6 with CTCSS tone 22 (141.3 Hz), or "Ch. 8" you get FRS 15 and CTCSS 19. See below. This works fine if you're using two or more Baofeng T26 models -- the announced channels match up. But if you want to talk to a Midland or a Motorola, you need to program the other one to use the actual channel and squelch tone that the T26 uses. For example, T26 Ch. 6 will talk with a Midland set for Ch. 6 CTCSS Tone 22.I found a list of actual tones and channels on a Facebook post, but it was for Baofeng T96. Someone had very nicely tested all the channels and figured out their actual FRS channel numbers, freqs, and CTCSS/DCS tones. This gave me the idea to do the same for T26. However, I could not figure out any of the DCS tones. It is a strange setup, maybe it conforms with some radio in another country (not USA).Remember that CTCSS and DCS are not "privacy" modes. There is nothing private on the air. It's just a way to block transmissions from other radios that are not set on the same tone as you. But set your CTCSS or DCS tones to Off and you can hear ALL transmissions on that channel, regardless of the other person's tone setting.Anyway, 5 stars for excellent xmit/recv, sound quality, and light weight.Order of columns: announced channel, squelch tone (CTCSS except DCS as noted), "normal" FRS channel1 ......... 1 ..,.......... 12 ......... 2 ............ 23 ......... 19 ........... 34 ......... 20 ........... 45 ......... 21 ........... 56 ......... 22 ........... 67 ......... 23 ........... 78 ......... 19 ........... 159 ......... ? dcs .... 1610 ...... ? dcs .... 1711 ...... 18 ........... 1812 ...... ? dcs .....1913 ...... ? dcs .....2014 ...... ? dcs .....2115 ...... 21 ........... 2216 ....... ? ............. 23

Great walkie talkies!!!
I have to say these walkie talkies are amazing and also built to take a beating! My brother accidentally dropped his in the yard. It got rained on and found our 10 month old Doberman (huge boy) carrying it around in his giant mouth the next day. We thought for sure it would be out of commission after that. Nope! These are tough, heavier duty and still works perfectly fine!

Surprisingly Capable for such a low price!
Good value, considering its low price. Good range, unobstructed line of sight is about 2000’ or half a mile. Downside is that the VOX feature doesn’t work with earbud out of the box. Even with the wired PTT button mic almost on your lips with a loud voice, the Xmit light doesn’t come out on. If you use the PTT button and mic up close with earbud, it works, but really only gives you privacy or loud environment advantage. Using them as a simple hand held, they’re just fine for most needs, featherweight and small. USB-C charging is rapid and mighty convenient with its supplied 2 headed charging cord. Get em, you’ll be glad you did.

Great little lightweight all-purpose radios for hiking and biking!
My niece loves these in her "Get Home" bag. These light-weight little walkie-talkies have a really good range. We were communicating probably over a half mile in a rural setting with great clarity. Close to a mile, it started getting a little fuzzy, but for hiking and around the neighborhood, these radios are affordable and a great option.

These are just generic off-brand radios with a Baofeng logo
Pretty much identical to another radio of a different brand. One of my headsets had a bad mic. Not enough of a problem to get the whole set replaced. Radios will serve their purpose. The clip isn't as strong as I had hoped. Definitely not a very durable design but at least it doesn't have buttons on the front. It doesn't appear to have a lock feature which is my biggest complaint.

So your wife can find you at the swap meet
Nice, simple Walkies. Turn them on, select a channel and go. Slim and light and seemingly well-built. I was able to communicate clearly for a good long suburban block with lots of houses and trees in between. Don't expect a distance powerhouse, but just fine for keeping track of the kids or spouse or buddy at a crowded event or park. Included are pocket clips and hands-free earpiece and a nifty USB-C charging cord that is split so you can charge two units off one USB port.

Great quality
I have not tried these at great distances. I use them frequently up to distances of 100 yards and they are crystal clear. The devices are plenty loud if using them in a loud environment.
