EXCELLENT, detailed skull!
This is a rather good instructional skull which, like my teenager, has no brain on the inside and no working ears, but a spring-loaded jaw that can close when opened, and simply stares blankly at me when I'm talking. All kidding aside, this is a SUPER STURDY and very good-looking human skull replica with teeth of a distinct color/texture, good details on the nose ridge and when you pop the top of the brainpan off, excellent details of the bone structure underneath. The brainpan is aligned with plastic nubs that match little indents, and further held in place by a couple pairs of strong magnets embedded in the rim of the skull. (These are NOT accurate. Most human skulls do not have naturally-occurring magnets unless someone put them there.) The knit marks where the skull fuses are also clearly visible. There are a few seams where the pieces of the mold for the skull joined, but all in all this is a phenomenal looking item with a sturdy feel to it. It sits stably on the table. As I mentioned, the jaw is spring-loaded. If you open it, it'll pop back shut. But if you pick up the skull the wrong way like i did a moment ago when getting ready to take these photos, you might accidentally dislocate the jaw and find out that it's ONLY held in place with the tension of the spring and the two points where the jaw meets the cartilage of the skull being perfectly placed and aligned.I wish I were a biology teacher and had great and noble reasons for having this, but I actually got it for the sole purpose of mounting it on a base and a pole so I can use it as a hat stand at work. I can't wait for people to see it and worry about me even more than they normally do.

The teeth take away from the whole thing.
I really love this for a prop. We will be using it, not only and sit around, but also in a play. I'm glad that it will be in a play. And in the distance, because I feel like the teeth really take you away from the realisticness of it they are very obviously plasticy teeth. The rest of it is quality made. and is almost convincingly real. It's a bit smaller than an actual adult head-- more like toddler head size

Classroom-quality anatomically correct skull!
I love this thing. It's a very well-made, solid, heavy plastic skull, of the sort we used to have in high school science classrooms. The mandible is a separate piece, and held in place by a strong spring. The cartilage pads of the mandibular fossa are reproduced, and the mandible itself is completely removeable. The cap is removeable, and held in place by small pegs and two magnets. Only a couple of extremely minor issues: the teeth are a disconcertingly bright white, which detracts a bit from the overall look; and the frontal and parietal sutures are not particularly deep. I may go over them with a panel liner just to make them pop a bit more. Overall, this is a very nice model that looks sharp on the shelf and feels good in the hand. Recommended.

Human Skull Model
This makes a fantastic Halloween decor or just every day for a moody/gothic aesthetic. Great quality. I love that it can actually come apart.

Not just for education!
Up close, it is clearly plastic, but from a distance, it is a convincing fake. It does have some mold lines, but they are faint - at least on the one I received. The jaw is held closed with a spring. Top comes off with 4 pins and 2 magnets for alignment. Personally, I plan on using it for a spooky Halloween decoration! All in all, fantastic piece for the price.

Great for artists and anatomists and artist-anatomists!
It’s a great size and incredibly life-like, aside from the jaw completely detaching. If that’s happening in real life, you might want to get that checked out. Anyway. I’m constantly on the lookout for skulls to draw and paint and just sort of study overall so, when I saw how reasonable this one was, I ordered it immediately, even if it meant sacrificing the quality a bit. Well, I didn’t have to worry about sacrificing quality because this one is really well made and very accurate anatomically. In that case, it’s totally suitable for nearly anything you might be using it for! Highly recommended! A+++

Solid and Well Made
The skull cap has molded plastic pegs and a couple of magnets to keep it together and it stays on very well. The Material is nice and thick with a good weight to it. The Jaw can be taken off you want to. The spring that is attached to the jaw has very good tension and allows articulation without it falling off.I'm very happy with this, it's much better quality than I was expecting at this price point.

Neat little guy
Heavier than I expected! Jaw is on a hinge so it doesn't fall off, skull cap is attached with magnets and is easy to remove and replace. Feels like very good quality material. Great price for a fun little anatomy skull.
