My husband installed this for me in my bedroom for my side lamps, it was well worth the price, it works great!!

Bought “the clapper plus” because also came with remote! Able to easily install and I’m able to turn on/off with claps. Family member with dementia struggled with clapping loud enough or at right cadence to work it every time. So, the remote was the lifesaver for him to be able to turn on/off without having to get up and down every time.

They work but also any loud noises triggers the sensors. I know I can turn down the sensitivity but I’m not sure how much. I am not really bothered by the random off and on of the lights.

This works well. I only use the top socket for a lamp. I just clap twice and the lamp will come on or go off. Nice. My only gripe is that something at 2 or 3 in the morning my lamp will come on for no reason. I am not in a direct line of sight of the clapper, so I have to get up and clap twice to turn off the lamp. Sometimes it will come on multiple times at night, so I will get up and unplug the clapper, and I will plug it back in the morning. Adjusting the setting does not fix this problem. Beside it coming on early in the morning I am pleased with the clapper

This thing sucks -- badly designed, cheaply made, erratic performance. Bought it to control Christmas tree lights but could not get it to work like 75% of the time. Plus the cheap plastic caused the slot on the remote's battery compartment to strip out after only a few openings and closings. Now I can't even change the battery. All around a crappy product. Steer clear.

This has made life so much better. I have the 3way light set on low in our bedroom and when I either clap or use the remote it turns off the light without having to turn the light up, which would disturb my husband’s sleep. So much better than having to manually turn out the light when I come to bed after my husband.

This is a very nice adaptation of the original clapper. I have always found the clappers to be a problem because you would clap and clap and clap before it finally changed. This one has a sensitivity setting, so it responds quickly to the clap, sometimes too quickly if it's sitting by a noisy TV. I love the remote. It's easier to use then even the clapping. The only problem I've had is that even at it's lowest setting it's still very sensitive and sometimes goes on without you asking it to. But other then that it's a big improvement on the original and simpler clapper. It's worth the extra money for the remote.

I really liked the clapper until it started having a mind of its own. I am not anywhere near it, no noise at all and the light turns on, or if clapped on or the remote was used it all of the sudden turns off. My son installed it and tossed the directions. I was hoping to find some on line but no luck so far.It is connected to a bedside light which is a really tall table lamp. I have the remote tied to my headboard. Worked great since I don't have to get out of bed to turn the light on or off.
