Purchased these after seeing a couple of snakes close to our home already this year.The smell is not bad at all. I was worried about putting moth balls under our low decking and it smelling bad, but I'm pleasantly surprised the smell has been very light even when I have gotten a whiff of them.We haven't seen an snack again yet, so I am hopeful this continues and this purchase has succeeded.

I got this to keep snakes away from my chicken coop area and I haven't start using it yet because it's spring here and raining every day but the smell is strong like the typical snake repellant. it's convenient to use as a ball instead of granulated. I'll update once the rain stops and I use it.

Fortunately havent had any issues with snakes but saw one a month ago neat my fence. I ordered these right away as my children play in the backyard. They came in quick and were suer simple to use. I literally opened the packet, pulled one out, pulled it out of the individual packet and tossed it to the edge of my fence. Have had these in my yard for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. I put a couple in my shed as well where I store my garden equipment and so far, I have been pleased to not see any snakes. Definitely happy with the result so far.
