It’s a nice sturdy, compact and easy to put together but the measurements shown on Amazon are incorrect, it says the distance from desk level to upper shelf is 49cm but after measuring it, it is only 47cm which is a fraction too small for my Samsung ultrawide monitor (using manufacturers stand) so I can’t use it on this desk without having to remove the top shelf (which makes my purchase of this desk useless as I wanted the top shelf)As a desk it’s nice and solid, and worth the money but I’m taking a star off for advertising the wrong measurements

This replaced a larger desk in a home office, and I must say it's hard to fault, and for the money it's a bargain. For starters it has that rarest of all rarities in self assembly furniture of a clear instruction leaflet. Although one person assembly would be possible, two is better to get things lined up correctly without cross threading the screws. It's well boxed and all parts are are identified with a round sticker, and another rarity is a spare screw for most fixings, each different screw and fixing type is in its own plastic bag. The finish of the parts is good quality. The fitting of the keyboard runners can be a little tricky, but you just need to make sure they are the right way round. The top shelf is a good idea for keeping sundry items off the main desk. I found it was a good fit for my A4 HP printer, as Using a PC I found that there wasn't enough room for the computer unit and printer side by side on the lower shelf, but if you are using a laptop then you have more options. The small shelf under the keyboard tray is about A4 size, and is probably ideal for printer paper. This shelf secures to the rear cross support panel with two turn knobs and can be secured horizontally to where it is best suited, or taken off altogether. Two castors are lockable to stop the desk moving around, so make sure you get these on the front during assembly. A pleasing amount of thought has gone into the design of this product, and it really is hard to fault for anything like the asking price. The only colour choices are black and the rustic brown wood effect that I chose. I would probably chosen a lighter colour if there was an option, but it's not a real issue. My only niggle is that there is only about a couple of inches clearance between the floor and the bottom of the lower shelf, so might be a problem if you are wearing bulky shoes. A good reason for slipping your shoes off!

Am experienced at flat pack. This went together like a charm. Everything fitted, no bits missing, in fact there were extras in every pack of screws/bolts. I thought the instructions were clear, diagrams only, and it even had all the tools.It's made an attractive and functional desk.

It was time to replace my old dirty cheap bent desktop table. Selected this. I'm not the most practical guy and i have myotonic dystrophy but managed to assemble it single handedly, although another person would have helped at certain stages. After it was together I got a rachet handle and tightened everything "properly" although you get a decent screwdriver, good screwholes and serviceable spanner in the pack. Because my case is from 2003 it was a tight squeeze getting it under the beam at the back. Having used it for month at this point I'm very happy with it. The black shows up dust more than I prefer but a wet wipe takes that off. Just about fits my 2003 case (although the internals are modern). Sturdy, comfortable, EXCELLENT value for money. This is probably going to outlast me!
