JBL Xtreme 2 Portable Waterproof Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Green)

If you're looking for a Bluetooth speaker that actually sounds like a stereo set up, this is it. I was a headbanger before the phrase was coined and still am. Real stereos disappeared a while ago. They're back now but crazy expensive. This speaker although phased out and replaced by The extreme 3 which sounds exactly the same. Actually has mind blowing base. If you set it at the opposite end of the room to where you usually sit you will actually get stereo separation. It is plenty loud, my neighbors have let me know. It sounds unbelievably good. Playing music from your phone through this sucker sounds amazing. You won't be disappointed. I bought this in 2019 and use it literally every day. 3 years after I owned it I bought another one as backup in case it kicked the bucket. It hasn't yet I still have the backup brand new in the box. Battery life is unbelievable even at high volume. It lets you know when it needs to be plugged in. Is it the same quality sound as you will get from a big component stereo system, of course not. But it is the best sounding Bluetooth speaker you will ever have the pleasure of hearing. Very impressive sound quality.

The JBL xtreme 2 is excellent. Nice lows and clear highs. Excellent sound quality even when its cranked up all the way. Have used this for work for a few years and its still going strong. Its pretty durable as i have dropped it and it only got a little dirt on it. Charging is solid and so is battery life. I usually have mine plugged in and we all love having it at work. I purchased the black one and it is indeed black. The texture of the speaker looks like a fairly durable mesh. Imagine chainmail but it's knitted by your grandma.

I bought the JBL Xtreme 2 back in November, and it’s easily become my favorite speaker for everything – family gatherings, pool days, even working outside. The sound is powerful, with deep and clear bass, and even at full volume, there’s no distortion.The battery lasts for hours, and the waterproof feature really works – I’ve used it in the rain with no worries. It’s rugged, comes with a convenient carrying strap, and is super easy to take anywhere.Another great bonus is the power bank feature. It’s saved me a few times when my phone was running low.

I had been using an old Dewalt worksite speaker for a number of things for years. It served it's purpose but was rather cumbersome for the nature of what I used it for so I was in the market for a nice rechargeable bluetooth speaker. Well my son has a smaller JBL bluetooth speaker that he has been very happy with bit I needed a louder one for my purposes. One of which is for a planning committee for a retreat where we use a lot of music that has to be listened to and voted in. It was kind of a hassle to lug the Dewalt along with the tote and other stuff I had to take then find a spot to plug the Dewalt in. This Speaker has made that process so much easier. I use the strap and carry I like a purse, freeing my hands up to carry the other stuff, saving me a trip from my car to our meeting spot! Also, I no longer have to use the cord from my phone for the sound! Also, we watch a lot of movies in the yard on a projector that had the 3mm jack and Bluetooth. Now I just use the bluetooth with this handy speaker. I was also able to take this speaker out on a pontoon where we all like to jump off into the river and swim. This thing had zero issue with water occasionally dripping off of us and it took up little space on the pontoon and made our trip so much more fun with music! It holds a charge for a long time, even turned all the way up! I have not used it in durations as to completely sap the battery but I can say that one weekend, I used it for 2 hours turned all the way up at a music meeting, then the next evening for 3 hours turned all the way up watching a movie outside and when I went to charge it back up, the battery was only down 2 dots out of 5. The folks on our retreat are so happy with what they have seen so far from the functionality and sound of this speaker that we have been having fundraisers to save up for the party box and microphones to have for our actual retreat to replace our old, very cumbersome sound system. I love the quality of JBL speakers that I have experienced so far. In the short time I have had this, I am absolutely thrilled with it. The difference between lugging that old worksite speaker and this little, potent thing is like night and day. Also, some of our work vehicles no longer have working radios and I even take it to work sometimes when in those vehicles and have music to make the work day less dreadful. I really hope there is a good sale on the party boxes so we can get one for our retreat in the spring. We are saving up!

What a buy!!!! The sound is amazing. I already knew how great this speaker was b/c my coworker already had one he uses in the office. I wanted one for a while and the cost dropped, so I HAD to get it. The SONY speaker I have is old and the speaker gets distorted when the volume increases. Honestly, I want to get another one. You can connect multiple ones if you want...

I decided on the JBL extreme 2 based on the features (Bluetooth, 3.5mm aux input, usb power output, long play time on battery life) obviously it is a portable speaker. I am using it to play songs from the phone, got a RCA to 3.5mm cable to add sound from the TV and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to use as a speaker for my computer. This is a definite sound quality improvement for the phone and computer and while my TV has good sound it is a welcome enhancement for that since I'm a big fan of music shows. The customer reviews about build quality and durability appear correct. So why 4 stars? I got this on a Black Friday deal at $50 discount for $150 so it isn't cheap. There were other brands much cheaper although they maybe didn't have as many features. I'm happy with my purchase because of the sound quality as I can listed to songs on my phone with the speaker in the living room while I'm in any room on the ground floor and the versatility mentioned above although I haven't used the USB to charge my phone, it is a nice feature to have.
