I purchased this lily on 4/19, delivered on 4/20, today is 4/27 and the bulb sprouted a few days ago. The picture is from 7 days from placing in the water. Follow the directions, don’t sink this to the bottom of your pond until it is growing for atleast a few months. Be sure it is in direct sunlight. As with any plant, it’s going to take time to get established. If you’re looking for a slow enjoyable process, this is for you. If you want instant gratification, find a store and buy a full grown one. I enjoy the process, so this is perfect for me. Only thing I did when it arrived was throw a few rocks in the pot it comes with so it stays still. Great item in my opinion if you have patience.

Don't waste your money.. For less than this product cost you can order a large hardy white waterlily form several nurseries, or visit and buy a big potted water lily, in the USA. But elsewhere a good waterlily with big root with many big flower tips.This Chalily lily came in a 6" package of growing medium with a tiny 2" root piece in the tip of it, implying more inside, which there was not. When the package was placed on the pond floor 2' deep, the tiny root tip floated right out of the package up and away in the breeze. A rip off if ever I saw one.

My water Lilly came in an easy to plant container. All I had to do was literally unwrap it let it slowly fill with water and immerse it in 6 inch of water! It works great for my small water feature. The plant was just starting and very healthy. It has grown quite a bit already! Looking forward to enjoying it this summer!

Who knew that growing a water lily could be as simple as drop and grow! We have a small pond with a few fish in our outdoor atrium and want to have some added color and places for the fish to hide once summer comes. Faux lilies and plants get too much algae and just aren't very pretty. After looking around online, we discovered this product and couldn't be happier. Within days our lily plant started growing! Can't wait to see it bloom. The cute little added flower in the package goves us something to look forward to. The instructions were so easy to follow. We even purchased some of the recommended fertilizer and will feed as suggested. Thank you!

Nothing has grown in 4 weeks. Looks like it will sit and rot before it blooms. Purchased a similar item from a local pet store, and it started growing in two weeks. I think Amazon sold me a dud.

When it arrived it smelled rotten but I still gave it some time to see if it was just the fact that it was in transit and water. It did not bloom continue to rot so I returned it for a refund. The company didn’t give me any problems with the refund and I believe selling plants and seeds would be a hard business- It would be one star for the plant three stars because the business didn’t give me any problems. Still a bummer

awesome idea . . . just open the package and drop it in water! The plant started growing right away - just wish the 'Lilly' was 'bigger' - it's a small bloom! I did get two more plants to fill my water barrel!

I was excited for this.... Was really hoping that I could get it to grow. I followed the instructions it came with. I babied it for weeks, changed the water every couple days and gave it sunlight and warm air. But it never even sprouted at all. Eventually got tired of looking at it and dealing with it. So I threw it out. I would not recommend this plant. I think mine arrived dead.
