Great food coloring!
I love this food coloring. Even though the colors are not super vibrant, they still turn out great and get the job done. I’ll take lighter colors, over the harmful dyes any day! 🙌🏻

The good stuff
I live in a small town that often does not have food coloring available in the grocery store so this is my go to brand. We use this for baking and science experiments. No complaints, great color and washes out of towels and clothes well.

No food dyes
Exactly what I needed for my cake frosting without all the added food dyes.

Vibrant Natural Colors with Minor Limitations
The Watkins Assorted Food Coloring - Pack of 4 offers a natural alternative to traditional synthetic dyes, featuring red, yellow, green, and blue colors derived from vegetable juices and spices. This gluten-free and artificial dye-free product is ideal for those seeking cleaner ingredients in their baking and cooking endeavors.Pros:• Natural Ingredients: Made from vegetable juices and spices, providing a healthier option for coloring foods.• Vibrant Colors: The colors are bright and appealing, especially when used in frostings and icings.• Easy to Use: The dropper bottles allow for precise control over color intensity.Cons:• Color Intensity: Achieving deep or bold colors may require using more product compared to synthetic dyes.• Heat Sensitivity: Some colors, particularly green, may fade when exposed to high baking temperatures.• Consistency: The natural pigments can settle, necessitating thorough shaking before each use to ensure even coloring.Final Thoughts:The Watkins Assorted Food Coloring is a commendable choice for those prioritizing natural ingredients in their culinary creations. While it may require some adjustments in usage to achieve desired color intensity, its health-conscious formulation makes it a worthy addition to any kitchen.

Finally found this gem!
As a mama, I prefer to be dye free but often felt that my kid “missed out” on colorful treats, play doughs, cupcakes, & cakes! We found Watkin’s all natural food dye & it’s a win for our household, the colors aren’t as bold as the typical mainstream treats and snacks, but a beautiful pastel! I do wish there would be an option for larger bottles but I am truly so grateful for this option/ingredients!

Not true colors. Bummer.
The media could not be loaded. I made royal icing for decorated cookies. I need primary colors so I thought this was perfect since I didn't need any mixed colors. Unfortunately the colors are very light and the red is not true at all (it is very purple). I'm disappointed but I give it a few stars for using good ingredients and not artificial dyes. Buy it for what it is and not for true colors.

Impressed
I recently tried the Dye Free Food Coloring, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs as a natural alternative to artificial dyes. As someone who’s conscious about avoiding synthetic additives—especially for kids’ food—this product is a refreshing find.

my son has autism so we absolutely love being able to find die free food coloring. We make him ice cream and Popsicles at home with this.
