Best tasting filter I've tried
I've tried Brita, PUR, and Clearly Filtered, but none tasted good to me.Based on Dr Berg's recommendation, I tried Crystal Quest and immediately noticed better taste. To filter arsenic as well, I use two filters—one for arsenic, one for fluoride—by pouring filtered water from one into the other. This double filtration gives me the best-tasting water I've ever had, and it extends the lifespan of the second filter.I loved it so much that I bought four—two for the kitchen, two for upstairs.A few notes: Sometimes there's black residue at the bottom—just harmless carbon, easily poured out. Also, if the lid doesn’t close properly, reposition it carefully, ensuring the lower plastic piece sits on top rather than wedging into the carafe.Highly recommend getting fluoride+arsenic filters for great-tasting, double purified water!

Good value, good taste - lid falls off - just hold it on
Good product - easy to assemble and use. Nice capacity to fill my quart thermos for the gym. I would give this a 4.5 if that were an option - only because the lid is really not designed to stay on tight - you have to hold it down when you pour - but thats no big deal - you just know that and adapt accordingly. The water tastes good and knowing that I am not ingesting FLUORIDE - is comforting. Wont do much for my IQ at this point LOL but other toxic affects I hope to avoid as well. I would recommend it for sure.

Quality of new design not working
The inside of this filter falls down after a few months into the pitcher and you cannot get it out to clean it. It has happened to me with 3 pitchers in a row now. The water tastes great however, the company says they are unaware of the problem and will not replace the 3rd pitcher when I finally reported the problem. There are cheaper filters out there that filter just as well.

Best of various brands I’ve tried.
Since I only drink water (plain, or as beverage base) I wanted to try a variety of brands, which have included PUR, Up &Up (Target), Zerowater, and Crystal Quest. Although CQ has a slightly smaller pitcher, it is my favorite….has the most comfortable handle by far, and best lid. Because of this, I don’t mind its smalller size at all, it’s a pleasure to fill it. (Zerowater’s pitcher design is horrible, esp. the lid, the other 2, are ok). And the CQ filter will last longer. Water tastes great. Highly recommend.

Terrible design - save your money
Terrible design. Lid doesn’t click in and falls off when you pour. Water that’s unfiltered also comes out with filtered water. Not worth the price

No Problem With Filter Water Pitcher
The pitcher drains properly. The water tastes good. I bought because I can also use a flouride filter.I see some have complained about black specs. I suspect they are seeing charcoal. If so this is not usually harmful, to my knowledge.Nothing smells with mine with the original filter. Maybe the flouride filter smells, if so maybe it's a sign of effect because flouride gas smells. Could the filter be releasing gas in the filtering process?

Looking for a Flouride Removing Water Filter for under $100? This is it!
I purchased this for my parents, who live in New York City. Although I think tap water in NYC is typically considered safe, they have always used Brita filters. Recently, my mother has decided that she wanted a filter that removes fluoride, which is not typically removed by standard filters. While some cheaper brands claim to remove fluoride, upon further research, this was the only water pitcher filter system that I could find under $100 that actually removes fluoride. I took one star off due to the fact that the lid comes off when refilling. However, my biggest fear was based on other reviews saying that the filtered water contained bits of charcoal and did not work, but it actually filters perfectly. Lastly, other pitchers require replacement every 3 or so months, but this brand lasts 12 months! I honestly thought it was overpriced, but it's actually an amazing deal.
