Great thing in a small package.
This little finger shaker is very comfortable to wear and the sound cuts through very well. I play in a 5-piece acoustic band and needed a shaker to play without putting down my melodica to pick it up. It also works well while playing the cajon. Meinl makes great percussion instruments and "doo dads".

Falls off easily
Sounds nice and loud, but doesn’t stay on the finger tightly enough. Had to take it off mid-rehearsal.

Finally, a ring that has a purpose and means something to me.
I really like it. It's loud enough and easy to use, and I love that I can play guitar and other instruments with it, and add an additional percussion sounds to my songs when I'm playing solo shows. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it tends to slide around a bit and it gets uncomfortable near your knuckle when playing lively tunes. My hands are kind of small, so maybe that affects how it stays put? I tried it several ways and I wear it on my middle finger while playing, but it still slides back and forth a bit.I have a feeling eventually the elastic that holds it will become looser, but so far so good.

This shaker is a great addition to a hand that’s already playing a shaker.
I play auxiliary percussion in a band and I use this shaker for almost every song we play. It can do some cool things when used with another shaker. When I shake my cabasa back and forth I can get a triplet out of two notes. It’s a lot of fun. The first one I bought lasted for about four months before the elastic band got too stretched out to make the shaker useable. I play pretty aggressively so I chalk that up to wear and tear (remember I use it for almost every song at every gig). If I have to spend $8 on one every four months I’m fine with that. Great product.I get a lot of use out of it.

You won't be disappointed. This works much better than the small rectangular ...
If you're going to buy one... buy two. You won't be disappointed. This works much better than the small rectangular finger shakers because there is so much more surface area to create sound. You can rattle while drumming, and while the sound is soft, it is there. It is especially fun when used this way, and even better when using two.

Great for playing with a Cajon
I use this shaker to add a bit of color when i play cajon. It really is loud, and it stays in place on my finger even when playing hard.
