New design has advantages for RV use - Happy Trails aagian
I bought this because I managed to kill my 2200 watt Giandel, not letting it warm up for 30-60 minutes after 4 months on no use. This 200 watt newly designed unit has plusses and minuses for my use. I used the other inverter for a few years of travelling. I have a fifth wheel trailer, I had planned to use the inverter to power the fridge while we drove. While stationary I had powered the fridge successfully via an extension cord to the shore power plug, using a 50-15 adapter. To facilitate mobile use, I had a transfer switch and internal surge protector installed. But my 2200 watt inverter failed and I am on the road travelling for the next few months. I looked at the competition and found them either bigger and/or older designs. I was intrigued by the new features of this Giandel. I also was impressed with Giandel's email customer service, who helped me problem solve. I had this unit sent to the next RV camp that could receive a package.Pluses - this inverter has a better surge power and time, 4000 watt and 2 seconds, it GFCI outlets, which means that the inverter is no longer seen as an open ground by my Southwire surge protector, no more bonding plug needed, the remote has a little more info, and there is a wireless remote, and it has a slow ramp up to fill the capacitors, so there was minimal sparking upon install, it is a little smaller than the old inverter, and has an 18 month warranty.Minuses - install directs that you need to let inverter sit on with no load for an hour to fill the capacitors, there is no longer a 3 wire option for direct connect of hardwire romex to the unit, so I will have to problem solve from there. If you are used to the bonding plug it will set off the GFCI and you can't use the inverter. You need to use inverter of follow the install protocol of letting it sit powered up but unloaded for an hour. Read the manual and email Giandel if you have questions. There are power and ground cables supplied, but I used my larger all copper ones. In my initial testing this inverter handled the power needs of my microwave, @ 1670 watts per the built in display's meter. Another plus. Peace.

First out of FOUR OTHERS THAT REALLY WORKED!!!! YEAH MAN....
Received this inverter today. Connected it up and did some preliminary tests. The inverter test OK with an OK CHEACKER which means all the electrical connections are wired correctly. This is not the case with MANY of the other inverters I have purchased. This was the Forth different one that I have ordered and tested. This one worked correctly for the test phase. I wire it into my RV and got the unit running and turned on the Air Conditioner to test it under load. The inverter worked fine and held the load with no issues. So I cut the battery cables I made (2/0AWG) to size (Short as possible through a 400A Fuse) to keep it clean and tight. Connected the remote switch & Battery monitor and called it a night. As stated this is the FIRST INVERTER that has checked out and held the load.. at this point I 110% Recommend this GIANDEL GS-4000KAR-GFCI inverter.

Highly recommend
I bought this product after researching many YouTube videos on power inverters. I found this company the most responsive to my queries, when I tried to reach their customer service through email. They guided me through the process and even shared a review by their customer about how they went about using Giandel power inverter on Toyota Prius. I want to use this power inverter as a source of power during camping as well as during emergency situations like power outage. And to use it with my Toyota prius . I decided to buythe 1200 W model because that seems to be the best for the Prius 12 V battery. This product comes with its own cables but decided to upgrade them with 2 AWG cables to handle higher currents without overheating. I also installed a 100 A fuse on my red line between the 12 V battery and the power inverter to be extra cautious and protective about my battery system. Installation is very simple and I tested the system with a few lamps and fans. I also connected my iPhone. It seems to be working just fine. Does not make any noise as a power output required was not too high. Decided to buy pure sine wave inverter as it is considered to be a standard for sensitive devices/equipment. I haven’t tested the upper limit for the output yet but I will in the near future. I love the long wire for the remote control. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a power inverter given the strong Construction and receptive customer service, which is super important to me.

Terminal Broke 1200W unit when tightening - Excellent Customer Service
Seller contacted me after I wrote this (initially 2-star) review pointing out their unit broke and gave me a full refund. Hopefully just a defective terminal. I have of been using it since I had the skill to repair it and did not have time to wait for a new unit, and electrically this unit has been working great! I recommend using heavier cables though if you'll be operating under heavier loads.--I had a 2KW unit for a couple years now and love it. Unfortunately I bought the 1200W unit and first thing I did was break the terminal. I've connected dozens of lug terminal with my van build and this is the first time one has broken. Not sure what material they're using on this but that is unacceptable. Terminals are way weaker than any 1/4 inch terminal I've used and they're larger.Photo shows broken terminal and the modification I did to get it working. Fortunately the unit was designed in such a way that I could open, remove the connection on the inside of the terminal, reverse the terminal, cut a hole in the front panel to bring the inside wires out, and connect both internal inverter wires, and battery wires on the outside. Still not impressed since this required damaging the unit, but at least I wasn't without power.

Happy Camper
Starts up my campers Air Conditioner when another brand which supposedly had more watts could not. The gfi outlets and 3 conductor connector were perfect and allow my 1.8kw solar panel array to run everything at my campsite. I especially liked that the watts used are displayed along with input DC and out AC voltage.
