This paint has been used to transform tired old shutter style window frame. Looks so fresh and new again. Would recommend this product

I covered some 50 year old wood paneling on the front of my house, partially down to bare wood in places, some old paint remaining, multiple layers in places. Scraped off the loose, sanded the rest, washed it down and took 3 layers to cover consistently. Went on well and easily, great coverage and looks good. I didn't find the paint to be watery as some other reviewers have, but it will drip if you have too much on the brush, so better to cover any surfaces you don't want to get any spills on.

I do prefer the oil based paints but as they all seem to be getting replaced with water based alternatives then the choice has become very limited. That said this is a really good quality water based paint, unlike some that are like thick emulsion this is quite thin so you have to apply thin coats to avoid runs. I'm now on my second tin as I've done some exterior doors and windows, and the doors have had 3 or 4 coats and the windows have had 2 coats. It is not cheap, so it loses one star for value for money but everything else deserves 5 stars and I am very happy with the paint.

Used this to paint some wooden brackets for my porch.Did 2 coats, looks good.Brush cleaned easily under the tap.One drawback the paint is very thin, ie like water. Some some floor covering is essential.

It's ok, it did the job but in 3 coats. Painting a wooden rear garage door (average front door size door for am idea on size) and it took 3 coats as it was very runny. I ended up with paint on the concrete patio so ended up having to put a dust sheet down. It rain all down the brush and down my hands, very messy.I had sanded and prepped the door in advance and I stirred the paint well, but when the paint was applied, it was almost transparant first off.Door looks good in the end but expected thicker paint really to make the job easier and less time consuming.Luckily I applied the paint in warm weather in the shade and it dried quick else it would have taken even longer.

A great product, the color doesn't fade easily. Highly recommended.

This is a good quality water based paint from Ronseal although it is quite thin compared to oil based paints so will require at least 2 or 3 coats.
