A Solid Camera
The media could not be loaded. A Solid CameraOverall, this is a very good camera. I've had it up and running for about 1 month now. I currently have 12 cameras running at my house. I have 3 SV3C cameras as well as 3 other brands. I use Mac computers exclusively so I don't know how their software works on a Windows PC. Here is what I like about the SV3C camera:1. Mounting system: They have the easiest mounting system of all the cameras I have mounted. All you have to do is screw a small metal mounting plate to your siding and slide the camera on the plate. With all the other cameras, you have to hold the entire camera on the wall while trying to get the screws through the camera housing. It's much harder doing this because you're trying to balance the entire weight of the camera while mounting it. The SV3C's mounting plate weighs about 2 ounces so it's much safer, especially if you're up on a ladder.2. Pan/Tilt/Zoom Controls: The movement of the camera is smooth when operating the various controls. There's no stuttering or jerkiness to the movement.3. Image quality: Both the images and videos are very good quality. Audio is clear. I attached a couple of photos and a video to show my setup. The night shot using only IR was very clear for quite a distance. Both the day photo and video colors are decent and focused.4. It's definitely ONVIF compliant. I run a NVR software program on my Mac and the SV3C cameras are running fine and all controls are working remotely from this software.5. The Auto-Tracking function works as advertised. I had my daughter and her 90lb. Doberman dog walking around our backyard and the camera only picked up my daughter and followed her around. It never locked onto the dog.6. The company's iOS app is pretty decent. The interface is pretty intuitive and I had no problems adding the camera.7. The WiFi reception seems pretty decent as I haven't had any issues with connectivity. My NVR software tracks connection problems and there haven't been any issues, so far.Complaints1. The company's Mac software you can download from their site, needs some work. There is no help system for the Mac software and the interface needs some work to be more intuitive. It took a while to get the camera connected and figuring out how to navigate around the app. I found it much easier to connect directly to the camera via a web browser. The browser interface was perfectly fine for adjusting all the settings. The Windows PC software may be better but I didn't test it.2. The video files recorded by the camera and stored on the SD card can be recorded in h264 or h265 format. If you download the recorded video files from the SD card to your Mac, the files are not viewable. However, you can convert them easily by using a free 3rd party software program. If you use their software, you can view the video files directly on their software program.Overall, this is a great camera. My two complaints are fairly minor and have little impact on using it. Highly recommend it.

Nice XYZ camera. Good zoom. 360° rotation. Night vision.
I have a very old XYZ camera from SV3C and I wanted something like it. This newer version is faster, and better resolution. I install them on the network using the QR code option. Pretty easy.Pictures: Camera with a corner mount adapter on barn 20 feet in the air. North pasture no zoom and with full zoom. Image from my phone. Looks better on the computer. This camera is mounted on the N.W. corner of the barn and can see from South-West-North-East. The second camera is on the SE corner and can see from North-East-South-West. We can see the animals, pasture and the changing weather. Some low-cost cameras have "digital zoom" which does not work well. This camera has "optical zoom" where lenses are moved with a motor. The old camera is on a telephone pole where it can see for miles. We also have some SV3C cameras that do not move. There are no moving parts to ware out. They are good to look at one spot. One camera looks at the front yard and another looks at the road. These cameras contact me if someone comes. (Motion detection)Both types of cameras work on 12 volts and use standard connectors for power. I ordered "security camera extension cords" which allows me to put all power supplies in the furnace room and run 12V power to each camera. We also have some XY cameras that do not have zoom, to watch sleeping animals like chickens and dogs. USB power! All the cameras see very well at night. The IR light cannot be seen so animals and people will not know they are being watched. The night vision is better than I had hoped for. Verry good.

I've had better and had worse and this is one of them.
Camera came well packed in box and with one small piece of paper with setup instructions. I got the camera connected via network cable for set up and got the android app loaded. However I was not able through the android app to set up the camera login to my WiFi, which was how it will need to connect from its intended location. I tried and connected directly to the camera's GUI where I could set up its WiFi access. I noted in the GUI where I could operate tilt/pan and other functions but since it appeared to use the now outdated Adobe flash player for video I couldn't see anything in the GUI. I rebooted the camera and it connected to the WiFi with no further setup issues though. Once I navigated through the casualties in translation from Chinese on the less than intuitive Android app I had the camera up and running. I could see the picture just fine from the Android app both locally and remotely.Camera has a pretty good picture. The optical zoom works well and triggers autofocus after zooming. The infrared LEDs shine a long distance in the middle of the frame -it looks like a flashlight beam and lights things up for the probably advertised distance. The capability to recognize shapes of people and alert on that should help eliminate nuisance alarms. The two way sound seems to work well, but I do note the mic pics up a lot of wind noise and internal camera sounds.Operating tilt/pan from the Android app is a bit tricky. First of all it does not tilt up any more than maybe 10 degrees past horizontal. (That's probably not an Android app issue nor would be a problem if located up on a tower where it is looking mostly horizontal or down.) There were no up/down/left/right arrows I could find in the app for the purpose. The only method I found for tilt/pan was to swipe along the picture in the intended direction to move the camera. The response to swipes is tricky and works in approximately 10 degree increments regardless of how much of a swipe I do. So far I have not been able to move the camera in any finer increments nor find a way to to save and return it to a position. Other functions on the Android app such as setting up video recording and viewing recorded video have worked okay after an initial puzzling through.Hoping for a better camera interface using a windows computer, I tried the various links offered in the support to set this up. Despite my extensive PC background I have not figured out how to get any of this to work yet and would appreciate tech support to get this and the other issues addressed. My intended rating so far would be 3.5 stars. Since I can't do fractional stars I'll round up to four for now and update later after I work with support.
