Arrived healthy and ready to replant.
Although I'm not the worst with plants, I'm often busy/worn out from work, family, etc. and am not always able to maintain a strict care schedule, so I usually buy "low-maintenance" breeds. I've never owned a spider plant before but have admired them and knew their reputation for hardiness.I'd just bought a couple really nice 14" ceramic pots and replanted my lovely (and VERY hardy) dragon's tongue, and I needed another plant for the other pot. I did a little research, decided on a spider plant, and ordered one from Hirt's, with which I've had pretty good to very good experiences in the past. It arrived promptly and safely packaged, I let it "rest" for a few days after unpacking, and replanted it in my extra pot with some (highly recommended) Espoma potting mix.A little more than a month later, the spider plant is absolutely thriving -- easily tree times the size it was when it arrived. By way of details, I have it near an east-facing, gauze-curtained window (which isn't the optimal lighting) and water it fairly lightly (2-3 cups) when the surface soil is dry to the touch. In summary: I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others looking for an easy to care for, beautifully colored and textured houseplant.

Great Plant and Great Service
I ordered this plant after my original Spider Plant I had purchased from Lowes died. (One of the baby is still alive that I gave to a girl.) After a few days I noticed yellow tips and a stem with a runner had snapped. I contacted the Seller just for some good advice. I got an email reply very quickly stating that a new plant was on the way and the Tracking Number.I was not asking for a new plant but did not want them to think I was asking for a refund so I said yes this would satisfy the situation. I gave the first plant to that girl with the green thumb and she has made 5 plants out of it yesterday. She says she just keeps the plant by a tinted window and waters it with tap water. I had been using distilled but now buy Spring water and mix with tap water in a spray bottle. I am wondering if the electronics and Wi Fi was too much for the first plant. I mainly wanted the plant as an air purifier that would be safe for my 2 cats. One of my cats I caught nibbling the original plant. Need to plant some wheat grass for the cats. I will definitely buy again and highly recommend.

Excellent plant for removing toxins, makes you feel better in days. Honestly. and Grows Fast!
This plant was tested by NASA for use in Space Stations and in future trips to Mars and other planets because it is so effective at removing toxins from the air and quickly returning oxygen. This plant gets rid of Carbon Monoxide -a colorless odorless deadly gas that comes from automobiles and other gasoline based engines, Carbon Dioxide the result of our breathing and which if you are in an enclosed area or room without good ventilation can kill you also, this plant also gets rid of stale odors, cigarette smoke, formaldehyde - which comes from a lot of new plastic products and their wrappings you take off, benzene -which comes from any oil-based burning fuel, Xylene (found in cigarette smoke, and some other plant-based smokers smoke, and Trichloroethylene which is a solvents type of gas vapor which comes from old rubber and leather glues, etc-) , EDITED...(update)___they prefer dry soil, if the tips show yellow or the leaves you are over watering. Spring or distilled water (or rain water) only, I lost a good window loving friend using tap water. Shade from bright sun or heat or cold below 68 degrees. Grows fast😃.

Not horrible, but not perfect. Few minor issues.
I got my spider plant today! Overall, not bad. This was my 1st plant from Amazon. The reason I gave 4 stars wad because the plant had brown tips on it upon arrival, the box was a little dinged up, and the rubber band was to tight at the base so it is now leaning. The brown tips were cut off. There wasnt to many so it wasn't a big turn off. I feel that the seller maybe should have put some words kn the box. It was a blank box, so I believe the mail systen did not know it was a live plant. The rubber band was pretty tight, but the soild stayed intact and it wasnt very messy. It came in the box with a llastic bag around the pot and placed in a brown paper bag and then filled with packing peanuts. Overall, not a bad plant.

Massive rip off...
I was really surprised when I received my plant considering the pictures that were advertised. I expected to see something full and lush, with bright colors. What I received was a very small plant, yellowing, most leaves broken, at five times the price that I could buy it for at the local hardware store. I had purchased this thinking I would receive a plant that was in better condition. The pot wasn't what they show in the photos either, it was a flimsy plant cell pot.I truly believe the photos advertised are misleading compared to the product received. I would rather have been shown the tiny plant that I got for the price rather than something that looked like it was at least 12 times the size and healthy. Then at least I would know what to expect.Hoping that this will perk up after being cared for for a while, but I'm not confident. More and more leaves are dropping every day. Do yourself a favor and find a local nursery to buy direct.

Where is the Spidey babies?
I think I bought these about a year ago. SOM made it some didn’t. I used to have these years ago and was hoping to go out have them again in my home. I love the little Spidey babies that grow off, but I’ve tried everything I can’t seem to get them to blossom. Maybe it needs more time? I bought miracle grow fertilizer steaks and I’m getting more greenery. They’re growing faster, but still no spidies
