Nicely made and packaged
This was bought as a replacement lanyard for one that broke ( not this brand). My lanyard gets a lot of use, wear and tear in the ED.The retracting mechanism seems to be strong and well made. The ribbon of the lanyard itself is strong, soft and comfortable around the neck and lays well. It seems to be the perfect length. I’m not sure how they did it. But it was perfect for someone 5’2” as well as the Dr who was 6’.The attachment for the ID badge is on a pivot so you can turn your badge so that others can not read your name etc. which can be a good feature in a hospital especially with some patients.I thought it was a great value so I bought it. But now “know” it was a great value considering the way the lanyard is made.

Great value
My husband is a special ed teacher, and the kids are always pulling on his badge over and over to the point of breaking the reel. He's very tall so he needs a lanyard with a reel, otherwise he would be leaning wayyyyyy over to use his keycard on the door. We were going through expensive badge reels faster than we'd like, so we decided to buy some less expensive ones in bulk. These do the trick! They're pretty plain looking but they're very good quality for the price.

Strap came off
The plastic badge holder is heavy duty, not the neck strap. Mine tore off fater just 2 weeks of wear. I really wanted to love it. Otherwise everything se functions just as it should, the badge holder and retractable string.

Best so far
I got these for daily use and they get put threw the ringer. 100s of string pulls a day and then get tied to my pants and the lanyard get caught. It takes a beating and not once have I had a single issue. These are at my top favorite and will be my go to if mine ever decides to give up!
