Nice option to hang your hats.
Bought this to hang my hats on. You can hang it from a door, from the ceiling or wall. I hung mine on the wall. it came with anchors and screws. easy to install, did the top and pulled the cord tight and did the bottom. I got the cord tight but not tight enough where there was going to be constant strain on it. the clips are tricky and this is what most one star reivews are about. You do have to be careful as these clips are a cheap plastic but like every other plastic item it'll break under too much pressure. Each clip has to anchor points for the cord, the top anchor you have to work the cord into and its a tight fit and will take some effort, this pretty much locks it into place so have you spots picked out before you install. The second anchor is just a clip that fits around the cord. Once your clip is on you can start adding your caps. I wouldn't do more than two per clip but you can get three on there. Overall the product does what it says and it does look nice one you get it together. Just take your time and be gentle with the clips and you shouldn't have any problems with this product.

Simple Form, Genius Function
It was no small feat when we took the plunge and decided to move in together. Little did I realize that I wasn't just moving in with my boyfriend, but also his massive collection of baseball hats. There seemed to be little we could do to manage the hats in such a way that they would be neatly arranged when not in use, but ready for circulation at a last moment's notice. I spotted this clever contraption on the shelves of Lids, a store specializing in headwear, and tried to find a better deal and reviews online. Buying it from amazon.com with free shipping saved me on taxes but was comparably priced to the store. The device itself was simple to assemble (I managed to do it in secret as he was in the other room when it arrived), easy to mount, and instantly solved our dilemma. I mounted it inside the door of our coat closet and used an included hook to go over the door at the top and a piece of double sided padded tape (also included) to anchor the opposite end of the cord to the door. One of the best things about this piece is that each of the cap-mounts are independently adjustable and can be spaced however you prefer, creating an unique display effect. What's even better, and arguably more important, is that my boyfriend loved it and actually uses it! I rated this product with 4 stars instead of 5 because, although it's clever, useful, and attractive, it is made from a majority of plastic parts. Plastic always turns me off because it isn't usually crafted to stand the test of time and for this I would suggest the price be lower. To follow up on that last point, and despite not having such a need yet, I haven't seen replacement parts available- a small feature I would like to have as an option.

Great cap organizer
My husband has a lot of baseball caps and they have always just been strewn across the top of the closet. I've been meaning to purchase something to hang them on like this, but just never got around to it. Wish I'd done it sooner!!All of his caps are nice and organized. We filled just about every clip with three caps and had no problem securing the caps. As far as the installation, I did have trouble putting the cord through the opening in the plastic tab. The directions said to squeeze the cord, which I did but it is a really tight fit. Secondly, the plastic clips where you secure the cord are very hard to open (for me , anyway). I am in my late 50s and while I'm not what I would call weak, I do not have the best strength in my hands so it's probably because of that. Because I wanted to make sure they were spaced properly, I wanted to install them on the cord rather than turning the project over to my (stronger) husband.Otherwise, the cord is nice and sturdy. It installs easily with the over-the-door hook (the method I used) and then secured the bottom of the cord with the screw and anchor provided. Now the top of the closet space is freed up to store other items. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Not exactly what I was expecting but it still works
The media could not be loaded. I'm not sure why I assumed that there would be a clip for each hat. Somehow I trusted the marketed number of hats that this unit holds. And it is a true statement that it holds that number of hats. However what I did not understand was that each clip holds three hats. So there is only six clips in the unit at first I thought the unit was defective and was not shipped with the proper number of clips and then after reading the instructions realizing that you had to stack the hats on top of each other and inside of each other in order for all 18 hats to fit. I would have preferred if I could see the front branding on all 18 hats. In my opinion this is really no different than just stacking your hats on top of each other in a closet and you have to sort through them anyway to find out which one you want as opposed to just seeing it and going for it. So it is a little disappointing however the unit definitely does serve the purpose of freeing up space and organizing them conveniently on a hook that hangs over the door. Lesson learned had there been a separate hook for each hat I would have given five stars.
