Amazing Brustro palette!
If I had got this as a beginner, I would be enthralled!Yet I am, the family of colours, the complements make it so useful. Colours are bright.Only thing I still need my Whiteknights!Though I'm so pleased with this set.

Very nice
Highly pigmented artist grade colours. You can paint a whole page in 1 dip. Superb. Love it.

Does the job
The box seems really old - some of the pans are broken in the box, likely due to poor packaging. But it's not so damaged that you can't use it. Activating with a bit of water will fix the pans. I'm holding on to it for now. I prefer Palette #1 since it has all the primary colours you need to mix practically any other colour. They've also included a lovely plum. I picked this over the palette #2 because I didn't want or need a white pan.If you get this somewhere around the 1k mark and you're okay with a slightly banged up box, it's absolutely worth it. The pigments are vibrant and very easy to blend. You might want to swap out the portable brush in the box though. Will be using this as my plenair kit.

Great product received in not so great condition!
The product is amazing. The ink based colours are vibrant and dry quite quickly and easy to use but you have to work fast. Great for mixed media type of work. Can be used as an under painting for coloured pencils. However the condition the product came in wasn't great and most likely was an old stock item. The outer box was torn in places and the swatch sheet was crumpled and the pans weren't clean. However the pigments worked fine so wasn't worth the hassle of changing.

Amazing for backgrounds
At first I was not impressed as a water colour beginner! These colours just don't act like usual water colours as they are not supposed to. Composition and feel quite different than regular water colours and it gets frustrating to work on details or filling up surfaces. Then i discovered how amazing these are for watery backgrounds as they spread dramatically with water over the paper surface. Needless to say, this will work best on thicker water colour papers when used as background washes..

Horrible condition, good pigments
The paint pan came in horrible condition, it was all stained with black muck. I got a replacement and the second one also came extremely dirty. I bit the bullet and kept it, gave it a good scrub but it’s still dirty which sucks. At first it looked like it had been used but it probably hadn’t, the brush pen was brand new and in the end I didn’t want the hassle of a return if I was going to get a new one that was probably dirtier next time. So I kept it, also because of the price point of 1200 for a Derwent and the actual pigments being very good.
