I have brunette hair with foil highlights and a cool neutral light brown painted between the foils. That combo hides the gray hair pretty well. When it grows out, it's hard to tell what's gray and what's highlights, which is the entire point. Once a week, I've been using a blue shampoo to get rid of any warm brassiness that creeps in. My stylist of 34 years retired, and I loathe having to shop for a new one. I was looking for ways to darken gray hair naturally and learned of rosemary shampoo. I found Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint and was impressed with the number of decent reviews, so I bought it. I have long hair to the middle of my back. The directions said to use a dime-size pump. That's not enough for my long hair, but I did as instructed. With such a small amount, it took a while to thoroughly get my entire scalp lathered up. Next time I'll use two pumps. I'm not a fan of the fragrance, but I notice immediately how differently the texture of my hair felt, like it was nourished. It didn't have that stripped out feeling that some shampoos leave. When I got out of the shower, I absolutely noticed a difference in color. It didn't "color" my hair, but it really toned down the highlights and gray, but in a very good way. I felt like my highlights were a tad bit overdone and I wanted less blonde. Two days later I used it again. Once again, I'm loving the toned-down effect it's giving my hair. I will continue to use it.

This shampoo really makes the hair feel clean, when you apply the shampoo you feel it energizing and adding volume to your hair (is that possible?) That's surely what it feels like!! Hair feels clean, brushes easily, and smells good. Love it!

Bought this a little over a month ago. I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner. I have thinning hair that was much thicker a couple years ago and due to an autoimmune illness that's not under control, my hair was falling out badly. I have now have new 2-3 inch hair growth all over at my forehead and all throughout my hair. At this rate my hair will be back to it's normal thickness in just months, and hopefully it helps with length.The smell is pleasant and a bit minty, it spreads easily in wet hair.I would recommend.

Me pareece un buen producto, no es agresivo, mi cabello es graso pero este me mantiene limpio suave y siento que no se me cae el cabello, adicionalmente estoy tomando unas capsulas de Biotin las cuales me estan ayudando tengo 60 anos espero mejorar y recuperar algo de mi cabello o almenos detener la caida

This shampoo is a fantastic product for unruly and curly hair, prone to frizz. It softens curls and makes them manageable without weighing the down. This product is marketed for ethnic hair, but it works just as well for anyone with thick and curly hair.

Updated review on February 14.Let the record show that this is thr only personal-use product review I've written because most of the time they're a waste of my time -- and money.I started noticing a lot of hair in the shower drain and when I brushed it almost immediately after I turned 40. It kept getting worse and I've tried just about every shampoo (coffee-infused, the one in the blue bottle, the pricey Nioxin collection, etc.). I even tried Rogaine which irritated my scalp. Not only did my hair continue to thin but so was my money. A friend in my age group recommended this shampoo and I thought, "Here we go again," but the fact that a person I know used it and had positive results convinced me.I started using the shampoo and conditioner a week ago. The first picture of the hair in the drain is from two days ago. The second one is from today. The difference in hair falling out during the shower is noticeable. Even my husband was shocked. I still have hair that falls out when I brush it (sink picture) but it's also less.Using the shampoo is also refreshing (literally and figuratively) because it actually lathers nicely. I don't have to use a huge amount to cleanse my shoulder-length hair. It's easy to wash off and there's no smell which is another plus. I was also skeptical of the leave-in conditioner, but it too has impressed me. I use a dime size amount and spread it from my roots too ends. My scalp feels minty when I apply it, but it dries fast and doesn't leave my hair heavy as some reviewers have stated. My hair feels as if I didn't have any conditioner at all.I'm excited for long-term results and will continue to update this review as the weeks go by. I'm happy so far. Stay tuned.Update on 2.14.24I changed the rating to 3 stars, not 5. After using the shampoo and leave-in conditioner for a few months, I'm not so sure the shampoo itself reduces hair loss. Yes, I notice there is less hair in the drain when I shower but the same would be true if I used another shampoo and not the conditioner. After all, conditioners in general help detangle lose hairs as in strengthens them. Naturally, if I don't use the conditioner in the shower, I don't see those detangled hairs in the drain. However, when using the Mielle leave-in conditioner, I've noticed my hair has become frizzy which was never the case. I tried to increase the amount of conditioner I was using but that made my hair greasy and weighted down. Also, when I brush/detangle my hair after using thr conditioner, I still see a lot of hair falling out, likely the hair that would end up in the drain if I used a regular conditioner. I have not noticed any new hair growth as some have mentioned in their reviews. I started using the Mielle rosemary oil which is strong and makes my hair greasy and gross. I'll try that for a bit, decreasing the amount I use. Overall, I don't have the high hopes I once had about these products.
