Excellent puppy food
When we got our puppy he would not eat. He was 8 weeks old and I was told he was weaned. But maybe the change was too much for him..we tried every kind of food under the sun..the ONLY thing he would eat.thank goodness is this..He LOVES THIS, it has literally been a life saver. Additionally, he went from 2.2 lbs to 4.9 lbs in a month! He is a cairn apso mix..as close as we can figure.. he is bouncy and punky and naughty as puppies should be..I bought 3 cans and we are on our last can..he is eating other food now..mostly he eats what I feed my 2 other 75 lb adult dogs. He still refuses puppy food, the little squirter! So that, blue buffalo dry puppy food and adult dog canned food. But thank God for Es bil ac..we would have been in real trouble without a product like this! It is the best stuff..it's easier to mix with a small wisk or a relish fork..

Lifesaver for weaning pups
Mom didn't have milk and pups were bottle fed. As they got older they were getting more hungry and blowing through puppy formula. This made weaning a breeze and they loved it. Never seen them pass out so fast with big full bellies.

Great product, 5lb bag came ripped and missing most of the product
I was ordering the 14oz cans for a while and was really pleased with it. For those that don’t know, this product is not meant to be served alone in a bottle! It’s meant to be lapped out of a bowl preferably mixed into puppy mush. My dog stopped feeding her puppies due to injuries to her teats at about 3 1/2 weeks old so I made the very watery mush for the pups (8 of them) and they LOVED IT immediately. I was worried that they might not be interested in it at first but they lapped it up like it was candy! They have been growing great and their poop HAS indeed turned solid, unlike the few 1 star reviews on this product. Like I said before this formula is not meant to be given alone and is mostly used for puppy mush/ supplemental feeding with moms milk IN SMALL AMOUNTS. For bottle feeding, you’d need to use a different formula and to prevent diarrhea mix this with a fine powder of blended puppy kibble and some water. This product is labeled 2ND STEP after all! Anyways I finally decided to bite the bullet and pay the 90$ for the big bag, I do wish that this product was cheeper :( but I bought the big bag because my puppies are 5 weeks old now and I do have 8 of them so I was running out of the 14oz cans faster than I could buy them. When the 5lb bag came I was sad to find the bag looked like it had been sliced open with a knife and over half the product was missing/ poured out. I tested the cut and tried to tear it a little bit more (after I took the picture) to see if the cut would look different when torn rather than what I suspected what a slice and you clearly tell the difference between the teared part and the sliced part. I think it’s possible that their assembly line might have a sharp screw or piece of metal that inflicted the damage, but either way I was refunded so I’m quite happy with how things turned out! Hopefully the next bag will come intact!

Good buy
Unbeknownst to me, my daughter RokC was only just under 6wks when we first got her and was still bottle feeding. Ordered the formula and received it the next day. She took it from a bottle the 1st could nights and by Sunday (about 4 days later) she was able to eat from a bowl. Has been the only thing she does eat/drink since we got her and she seems to love it. Doesn't give her any digestion issues and she has slowly put on weight.

Make puppy transition a breeze
I breed German Shepherds. At 5-6 weeks I begin to supplement with softened kibble, maybe some hamburger, full fat yogurt and cottage cheese. I pour a few cups of Esbilac on top. The pups love it and they are healthy and satisfied. Its makes the transform nursing to food a breeze!
