Solid, secure, safe. This is high quality.
This is a high quality lock that I used on shipping containers. It was nice to have several with the same combination. They may seem expensive but you get what you pay for. I don’t mind paying up for a quality product like this.

Two and a half years outside: Held up okay
I've had this for 2.5 years outside on my boat (freshwater) and while it has seriously rusted, it still works and the numbers rotate smoothly and it locks and unlocks as it should. It does not offer the absolute highest level of security - it is made largely of zinc so you could melt it, or try the combinations - but "locks keep honest people honest" as they say; if you need serious security then don't buy a $18 lock. Good value for the price.

fun to play with
very easy to play with, can open in 2 minutes without knowing the combination

Great for practice and making some side cash.
Bought to learn how to decode the lock combo, after a few minutes of fiddling around with it got that figured out and have now made what I paid for the lock and then some doing bar bets one having people set the combo to random numbers and opening it in 5 minutes or less.

So Far So Good
2nd one of these. Purchased same one 5 years ago and it's still outside in use. Now & than it gets a squirt of WD 40.

Terrible Lock, Easy to Decode
This lock is an absolute joke. The quality overall feels cheap and pretty poor, especially compared to some of Master Lock's options (even cheaper ones)I was hoping this would be an upgrade from their 175D, however it is significantly less secure.I was able to decode the wheel within 2 minutes after randomly setting a new combo. The combo can be figured out by adding pressure to the shackle and then feeling for the play in each dial. At times the dial would spin and only stop once it reached the correct number. This is functionally flawed design, it is not secure as it can easily be bypassed without a tool and just a minute or two of time. I am returning this useless lock and going with another 175D as they have improved the tolerances and you need to have a tool to bypass the lock. This doesn't even require a tool, I am disgusted and disappointed in this atrocious design.Do not buy this lock! I found a video after looking up if my lock was just unlucky and had poor tolerances, the lock picking lawyer has a great video that will turn you off from this lock. This lock is only good for a little trick to show your friends how you can open a lock with a random combo.
