Excellent dagger, sheath is not ideal for me
The knife is perfectly put together. Fit and finish are spot on, the point is centered perfectly in the grinds, the grinds are even all the way around, the handle is nicely 3D sculpted and the swells fits my palm perfectly. (I wear an X-Large glove) I was a little worried about the squared off cross guard being sharp on my hand, but the metal is thick enough it is not a serious issue. The little pry part on the pommel is a handy detail. It’s not going to pry open any doors or windows, but it pops open a beer cap great! The knife sits VERY low in the sheath. Only about 2 1/2 inches sits above th belt line, so there is a lot of knife hanging below the belt line. I intend to take the spring clip off and fasten this knife to a tac vest, so the lack of holes on one side of the sheath is not ideal. I would have preferred the sheath be a little more diverse for mounting options. Im still rating it five stars, but the sheath could be a lot better.Overall, quality knife that’s very well made and put together. For its intended purpose (pointy end goes in the other guy) it’s perfect. Probably not the best utility knife, but that is not what it is intended for! Lol

Tough and sharp.
This dagger is comfortable in the hand and built like a tank. Tops also sent this thing scalpel sharp from the factory ( both edges ). It’s now my fav in my collection.

Great knife
I’ve bought several TOPS knives , I love them all. The ranger danger is one of my favs. My nephew just graduated boot camp in the marines. He loved so much I gave it to him. If they made the hand guard just a ya bit longer it would be perfect

Not a good "combat knife", at least not for this price.
Before we get to the negatives, pros:1. Looks cool2. Good steel3. Pleasant to a touch grip material. But here are the cons:1. Center of gravity is too far forward. If you ever have to fight with it, the poor center of gravity will tend to slow you down, and it presents extra challenges with retaining your knife.2. The handle is shaped like a brick, making it even more difficult to retain your knife.3. Inadequately sized cross guard, putting you at risk of losing your hand, in addition to your knife.

Obviously not intended for tactical use as configured.
Knife is everything I would expect from Tops... toughness, edge, balance etc. BUT...with only a couple of inches of handle protruding out of the sheath there is no way to quickly and quietly pull it out. If stealth and speed were a concern you would need to either remove it from the sheath or at least pull it past the click stop (and then it might fall out) before you were going to present it in a tactical situation. I intend to keep it and have a new sheath made so it can be slid out quietly and quickly.

Sharp and solid
The knife is ready to go out of the box. It is very sharp and the tip of the blade will draw blood with no effort :-) so be careful and don’t assume (like me) it would require sharping all around - just some areas on the sides. Comes with the nice TOPS whistle which I didn’t expect-neat! You just need to replace the check plastic sheath with a leather one.Excellent seller with awesome price and fast shipping. Thank you!

Tops knife
Tops knives are some of the best knives they make, this is my husband's 4th Tops knife and they are all top of the line.

Cool knife from Tops..
I like this knife but the blade is a little thin so I'm not sure how much abuse it could take otherwise I would give it 5 Stars..
