Works GREAT for dry-clean only upholstery!
We have a pair of high-end Ethan Allen upholstered chairs in the front living room. On a hot summer day during a pool party one of them was sat on by someone in a very wet bathing suit and the top cushion was soaked. One it dried there was a horrible dark stained "ring" surrounding the top cushion. We were quoted $150 to have it cleaned with no guarantee it would work. Fast forward to our "kit" landing at the front door. I sprayed a light/medium mist of the pre-treatment solvent, just enough to barely darken the fabric. I then lightly sprinkled the "powder" on the cushion and used the brush to work the powder in focusing most of that effort on the ring stain. I waited 30 minutes and vacuumed off the powder. To my amazement "most" of the ring stain had vanished. I waited a couple hours but noticed that some of the stain had returned and that the front of the cushion had an area that was darker than the rest of the cushion, I believe it was where I had sprayed the pre-treatment a little heavier. I decided to use just the powder and re-applied it but this time spent about 5 minutes working it into the fabric, following the "grain" in a back and forth motion. I waited about 45 minutes and vacuumed. Viola! Stain has totally vanished and the product did not harm the chairs upholstery. This is an incredible product and some of the best money I have spent in a long time. It also goes a LONG way, this small kit will do about 100 sq ft, carpet wise not that much but for cleaning misc. stains, upholstery, wool , etc. it's plenty. The powder is actually a tiny bit damp so if I were to buy a bigger kit it would probably dry out before I was able to use it while fresh and damp. The small amount of moisture in the powder also means the kit was fresh so this seller will be my go-to if I need more in the future. Time for me to start inspecting everything and see what need a cleaning/freshening up next! Yes, it smells great too!

Works very well!
I only have one room that has carpet so I can't justify paying someone to do it. So this is what I tried a few years ago. My husband has helped me lately due to health problems. He has more strength than I (but doesn't necessarily require a lot of strength) and it looked awesone after he did it. He's now the offical carpet cleaner! This is the 2nd time I've purchased this as it last me a long time since I don't have a lot if carpet to clean. As long as I have carpet I will continue to use it. Thanks!

Complete system for spot carpet cleaning
I would have given it 5 stars, but I haven’t used it yet. Directions are easy to understand, and it seems easy to use.

Didn't work well on my rug
I have a hook loop area rug that needs special care - it isn't supposed to be cleaned with water. Dry powder cleaning was recommended, so I tried this product. I was disappointed with the results, as the high traffic areas I used it on were barely any cleaner even after two applications. To be fair, I'm not sure this was due to the cleaner not being effective or because the dirt was just too ground in to to be removed. My rug is a light blue and white, so dirt really shows up. Still, the product is touted for high traffic areas, so I was hoping for better results. (It *was* quite easy to use; I don't think the product was scented, so I couldn't really comment on that - hence the one star.)

Capture can't be beat!
Handy for a few spots or a whole room. I've used Capture for over 20 years on the recommendation of a restoration specialist. I've never been disappointed.

This really works
We’ve had a puppy and a rescue dog go through the house training phase here and the carpet didn’t come out unscathed. Even after a few rounds of carpet cleaning, there were still some old stains that would come up again after a while. Someone recommended that I try this for those old recurrent stains and for a couple of stubborn spots (think coffee, wine, tea, hibiscus) that just never quite came out. I wasn’t super hopeful but figured I didn’t have much to lose.My first order disappeared somewhere in transit but the replacement arrived just fine. I read over the instructions, figured it couldn’t really be that simple, and gave it a try. You lightly spray the spot, sprinkle some powder on it, rub it in with a brush, then come back a half hour later with the vacuum and suck the stain away. It’s been a couple months now and the stains I used this on are still gone. Worth every penny, especially when plan b is replacing the carpet.

wish i could give this product a 0
1. the spray attachment that you attach to the mist bottle, leaks no matter how tight you screw it on.2. there is no sifter with the cleaning powder. used flour sifter which worked well, but had to ensure it was thoroughly washed so no residue was left to poison anyone.3. have 2 twist on handles. neither would twist into the brush no matter how we angled the handles. so we ended up on the floor brushing the powder into the rugs.4. waited an hour. mist was dry on the rugs. vacuuming did not get up all the powder. we used a dirt devil and a bissel. vacuumed many times but powder will be left on the rugs. ugh (see pics)5. when you vacuum, no matter how hard you try, the powder will fly everywhere... the floor, furniture, blinds, etc etc. so be prepared to reclean whatever room you try this in.6. because all the powder did not vacuum up, essentially the rugs needed to be cleaned in another manner. 4 of the rugs were small enough to throw in a large washer. the other one will need to be sent out.in the end the living room hardwoods had to be vacuumed and mopped, furniture had to be cleaned, plants had to be cleaned, etc etc to get up this flying powder. hours wasted. and even though hours were spent doing this, and vacuuming and mopping were done over and over, pretty sure powder will be found in a missed crevice.if given a lifetime free supply of this product, i'd demand $100 each time so the rugs could be cleaned in another manner.*as a side note, because two of the rugs were quite old (they belonged to my deceased mom and i wanted to keep them), the rubber backing tore in places when the rugs were washed. so i also need to reapply some liquid latex and cheesecloth to preserve these rugs.beyond angry. beyond sad.
