Absolute comfort -- best non-shifting aero levers money can buy
These levers are deluxe. The best non-shifting aero (hidden cable) levers money can buy.-They look great, love those silver levers w/ drilled holes and the grey and brown grip.-they are very comfortable and are big. Allow me an additional hand position compared to a smaller lever like a tektro or shimano. If you have small hands this might not be for you.If you are looking for new levers for drop bars (would not work that well for a mustache bar setup) and don't need shifting ones (I despise shifting integrated levers)--- don't hesitate, BUY EM its worth it. Not one negative thing about it but the price. You get what you pay for.

An Impressive Value
I have to echo many of the comments made about these brake levers. Restored a classic steel framed bicycle with Cinelli Giro d'Italia handlebars. These are non-grooved handlebars, just like in 1986 when the frameset was built and aero levers were first used. It doesn't show up well in the product picture, but that curve toward the outside of the bars is really impressive. Instead of reaching for the levers when riding the hoods, the levers curve underneath your fingers. The action of these is also very light when paired with Veloce calipers and Jagwire cables/casings... and the quick release button in the hoods is also unique. You press the button and the levers spring inward, allowing the calipers to spring open... you don't even need to remember to reset the pin (like on my very expensive Campy Chorus 10 speed brifters)... the next time you squeeze the lever, it resets. Pretty cool. Yes, these do have a return spring, if that's something you feel you need. Comes with these odd plastic inserts if you don't want a 'classic' look, but instead want something more like modern levers (?)... I left them out and they feel/look great. The rubber/latex hoods themselves are very supple and handlebar tape covers all the necessary bits without issue (used with Fizik Superlight Tape). Seem to be a shade lighter in color than in the pictures, but nothing to write home about. So, sure... they are pricier than Origin8 or Shimano aero levers, but the function and finish are first rate which makes them an impressive value.

Perfect Update for My Old Steel Friend
I recently redid my old steel frame road bike and wanted to keep a nice retro look while maintaining the comforts of a newer bike. The levers have a modern shape with the bottom of the lever flaring out to the side making them easier to reach in the drops. The hoods aren't super wide but they feel good and braking from up top is comfortable with plenty of leverage, something you won't get in an older lever. Quick release on the lever itself is also a nice feature and I've been told this is in case you bend your rim on your ride and need extra play in the cable for the ride home. Apparently this is an old campy feature. The hood rubber tends to get a little dirty but that happens with all light colored hoods. Overall, these are amazing and well worth the price. I would not recommend for cyclocross since the holes in the lever will certainly be a pain to clean once they get muddy.

Great !
I don't write reviews often but these are fantastic !I switched from very old brake levers with an old drop bar to these and a new drop bar (the old one broke after a crash).Pros:- the rubber is very comfortable- the lever is deported towards the exterior and makes it very easy to grab and brake- it's also easy to grab the brakes from the top- the style is wicked !- the button to release the brakes and make it easy to change the wheels is a genius idea.Cons:- I don't really have any but you should also understand that I had 30+ years old levers before these and replaced the whole braking system (levers, cables and pads but kept the calipers). So it feels like day and night :)

These brake levers are awesome. I can operate the brakes easily from the hoods or the drops. Good for women's hands. They have a quick release for slacking the brake cables to take the wheel out or to adjust the brakes. The angle of the hoods to the bar can be adjusted with an enclosed shim. Quality build.
