Myojo Jumbo Udon Noodles, No Soup, 19.89 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Our favorite everyday "pasta." I've had these on Subscribe and Save for a while and I never allow myself to run out. These are soft, "fresh" noodles, not dried. I do not miss that they don't come with any overly salted soup mix because I probably wouldn't use it anyway. I have miso in the fridge (red, white, and half and half) as well as many Asian sauces by my stove, but I make most of my Asian food, especially sauces, from scratch. But, it is not for the quick Asian breakfast, lunch or dinner that makes me keep these in my pantry- I use them for anything requiring thick, hearty, al dente, EASY, noodles! Italian, German, Greek, Grandma's chicken noodle soup, stroganoff, stir fries, of all sorts- really the list is only limited by my imagination and whatever we're craving. I "velvet" nearly all of my meats for any global dishes so they're all silky tender like you get in Chinese restaurants. Great with these! If I make black or green tea in the Keurig, I run the k-cup through a second time over these udon and toss in some miso or shoyu, or dashi, leftover veggies, or shrimp- maybe drop them in a skillet to finish, or nuke them for an extra minute or two, whatever- and have a super charged brunch soup. They make great Szechuan spicy peanut or sesame paste noodles. Mac and cheese, yeah, even that! We eat them at least once a week, never cooking them the same way two times in a row! 5 minutes total! Could I get in the car and run up to HMart for fresh udon? Yeah, but why?

1st time we have ordered this brand - and we are glad we did! These will be our go-to Udon noodles from now on. Tasty, easy to prepare, and good pricing. We have used making soup, fried noodles, and other wok-style dishes!

Great taste and texture, I quite liked them. Seemed a bit expensive for what you're getting though so not sure I'll buy more unless I have a big craving. They were good though.

Excellent taste and texture. Also very convenient as there is no refrigeration required or time spent heating water to cook. I added this to a stir fry. When the fry was near finished, I massaged the package a bit to begin separation of the noodles and then emptied into the hot wok to toss with the other ingredients wok. A little separation was required with the wok spatula.

While obviously fresh or frozen are better (firmer texture), these will do in a pinch.

Im still learning Asian cooking and the recipes I like r the ones needing these chewy noodles. I enjoy eating them. They r the largest noodles I’ve ever eaten! The texture is great & they seem to last a long time n my frig before I cook them. I will b ordering more of these noodles!
