Works
It's working for me it's making my bowl movements nice easy and regular...tastes funky..but it's bearable. After a week im fine with the taste..mix it with flavored water or juice if the taste is too much for you..it basically has a mild dirt flavor

Just Fine!
As far as I can tell, it's the same as what's in the capsules, but you get a lot more for a better price. I also use it to calm itchiness in winter dry skin for both myself and my husband. I simply add warm water to a spoonful of the powder, and let it sit for a while.

It tastes like PVC
This tasted like eating vinyl. I have to assume that this taste is related to some kind of chemical contamination. I don't know for sure, but it isn't worth the risk to consume it. I could be convinced if I saw a comprehensive certificate of analysis for this lot that included trace contaminants like organic chlorides. I just wonder if there wasn't some kind of chemical extraction process using something like methylene chloride. Anyway, I will be tossing it after one taste. Amazon will not give a refund. From what I can figure, the dosage that would be effective for lowering cholesterol would be equivalent to about 1/2 of a cup of oat bran. That's what I'll consume instead since I know that should only have been prepared with milling.

Only get this to put in capsules
Adding Beta Glucans to your diet is a good idea, but not in this form. The flavor of this powder is horrendous, so if you're interested in the powder form, use it to fill capsules. Do not buy this thinking that you will be able to stomach the flavor.

My view of product
It is easy to mix or sprinkle in drink or food.It gives a good boost to immune system. I recommend this product.

Taste horrific. But otherwise seems okay
I can't eat oats due to FODMAP but I can eat this oat fiber type product. It's not made from oats, but instead derived from some type of yeast organism. It tastes like heavy chemicals, but the flavor is easily masked because the portion is so small. I don't know if it reduces cholesterol.

chug it!
Tastes and smells like dirt to me. If I hold my breath it's not so bad. Nothing I've tried masks the smell/taste so I just put in 8 oz hot hot water, once disolved throw in an Ice Cube, hold my breath and chug. Haven't taken it long enough to see if it's making any difference but I'm not sure I'll even know if it is doing what I'm hoping for....just know, for me, I couldn't mask the smell/taste so best to down it quickly :) FYI....my experience is that it doesn't mix well in cold drinks.

Part of my Dog's anti-cancer regiment
I use the Beta Glucan Powder as a component of my dog's anti-cancer regiment. This in combination with a few other holistic ingredients (mostly ground mushrooms) have been a game-changer for my dog. I specifically like this product because it is not in a capsule, which I need to open and empty any way. It is easy to mix with my dogs food and she does not seem to mind it.
