Quality ITX mobo for AMD CPU
Bought this for my Ryzen 5900 build in an NR200P case. I was very worried at first because I read some reviews about the old BIOS not supporting Zen 3 AMD. And this particular motherboard does not seem to have support for updating BIOS with USB. Nonetheless, when I received my item (02/2022), I could see that the mobo was manufactured in late 2021, and has the latest BIOS already. So I have not experienced any compatibility issue with the my AMD 5900X.I think ASUS ROG in general is high quality, and I am glad that this motherboard has proved to be no exception. The back I/O has USB 3.1 Type C and 3.2 Type A. There is only one Type C port mind you. What really made me give a five-star review was the software support for the motherboard. You can adjust the RGB lighting on the motherboard (and update drivers) using the Armoury Crate software. This saves you from having to get all the individual drivers from all different sources. Additionally, you can use the AI Suite 3 to customize all your fans RPM under different temperature settings. This motherboard has limited fan headers, and I am not a huge fan for running 3-4 fans off of a single fan header. So I used the AIO_PUMP header for my bottom fans (12mm high from NOCTUA). The thing is that AIO_PUMP fans by default will always run at max speed so they will be really audible if you don't adjust them. So, I am beyond glad that I have been able to use the AI Suite 3 to adjust my fans that are using the AIO_PUMP. It may take some tweaking before you find the sweet spot for performance and noise level, but having an easy-to-use software for controlling all the fans is so important for power users.

Might have been a used one?
My pc is working great, Mobo arrived early too. The only reason I’m giving it 4 is because I’m skeptical. It was slightly dusty when I pulled it out of the anti-static plastic bag and the first boot said the cpu was different, implying a cpu has already been on this. The IO shield was for the x470 and didn’t match the x570-I so I wonder if it was a used one, just had a new round sticker on the box, just feels shady and tbh if I wanted a used one I’d have paid much less. It works though, for a second time ever building a pc it was easy to work with. Only confusion I had was with the power switch connector for the front panel. I put it in a Terra, turned off the rgb in the bios and yeah. Still happy with the result.I contacted the seller about IO shield and they were willing to refund 20$ so I can get one elsewhere. Wish I got 25 but apparently it was the highest they could give.

Not so ROG highend
I wanted to go ITX for the small foot print. I was tired of the big towers that was taken up too much space in my life. Seen this and said this might be what I need. Well for it to be a high-end ROG motherboard. It is missing some key features. One being a flash back button when a bios needs to be downgraded. Why do you ask. Because sometimes a bios isn't that great and it causing hardware to not be running at its full potential. And now Asus makes 100% sure you cannot downgrade after you flash a newer bios. But if it had a bios flashback you could do it and have no worries. Only way to downgrade is send it back to Asus and let them do it. All motherboards should now have this feature since everyone is locking you from downgrading the bios.Next would be the LED readout. I really like this and wished all boards came with this. Again all high-end boards should have this by default. Seems it got overlooked on this board for some odd reason.Third would be a clear cmos on the back of the I/O shield. when you have a tiny build the last thing you want to have to try and do is squeeze into a tiny case and find the cmos clear and try to short two pins. It just isn't practical. Same as we need a power and reset button on the back of the I/O shield as well. It would suit me just fine if the power, rest, bios flash back and the LED readout was all on the back of the I/O shield for anything ITXWe need a front panel for USB C Asus. All new cases have it but you release a ROG board with it missing. Sure they are one on the back. But no one wants to go around the case to plug something in. I hope whoever deigned this board doesn't help again. It is a train wreck layout. These 5 things should all be a standard now in 2022 on all motherboards. As well as right angle connectors on the plugs for motherboards. It just seems like they aren't trying to build in these boards and actually use them. People that build small form factor knows exactly why you need all of this stuff as a standard. For the price it should have came with all of these features. What is funny the cheaper TUF series has all of this on it. I honestly do not know what Asus was thinking when they did this motherboard design.
