Incredible, Budget-Friendly Fountain Pen
I’d wanted a Pilot Vanishing Point since a friend lent me theirs for a few months last year, but the price kept holding me back. While the converters are different for this Japanese model, they write just as beautifully! And the Japan-exclusive yellow is a great bonus.

Nice Pen. Had To Return It
I already own a Pilot Vanishing Point, but I purchased another one because I liked the unique styling of the yellow barrel. Unfortunately, when it arrived the tip of the nib had been bent 90 degrees over the end of the feed. It looked like an eagle's beak. Of course this made the pen unusable, so I returned it.I will speculate that because the pen was packaged inside a hard plastic case that had a lot of extra room inside, and was attached to a flimsy, felt tray by a piece of stretchy string, there was plenty of opportunity for it to be jostled around quite a bit during shipping. And although the nib is retractable, I can see how it would have been possible for the clicker to have been depressed if the package was shaken enough. And of course, once that nib is exposed, it is quite susceptible to damage.I'm sure this kind of damage doesn't happen often, and I think the seller shipped the pen in good faith. But sadly for me, these things happen. The pen looked beautiful for the few minutes I got to hold it. That yellow color is unusual, and turns heads. I may attempt to order another one just like it, but for now I'm concerned the same thing could happen given the manner in which the first one was packaged.UPDATE--May 3, 2024I ordered the same pen because I just couldn't resist the mustard-colored barrel. It arrived, but I think it was someone else's Return. The nib had an issue that caused the pen to be unusable. I was reluctant to return the pen (because the mustard is so rare), and I was under the impression that the seller had no more in stock. But when I contacted Amazon, they said they WERE in stock. So, I returned the pen and nib and within a couple of days an unopened replacement arrived. They say the third time's the charm. (I don't know who said that.) No matter, this pen was perfect. The nib has no issues nor does the barrel. Thanks to Amazon and the seller for taking care of the return so quickly. Instead of four starts I give five.

Worth the investment
The pen is weighty (a good thing) and well-balanced, and the M nib writes smoothly on all of the office papers I’ve tried (copy paper, legal pad, post-it note, etc.). Point being, I’m not writing on ‘nice’ paper, so I can say it is the nib that is performing well, not the paper. The ink (Namiki blue) flows flawlessly also. It’s not as rich a shade as the Pelikan blue, which I’ll try next. The clip (which is on the nib end of the pen) is not in the way when writing, as I feared it might be due to its placement. The only drawback is a minor one—the color. The “deep yellow,” while it appears bright in the product photos, is not. Think spicy mustard or butterscotch (the chips, not the candy) and you’ll be on the right track.

Quality affordable and it is capless/is a click pen.
I think it's a really good looking pen with a cool feature being a capless fountain pen at an excellent price. I usually like fine or extra fine nibs from pilot but this medium is very smooth and boldish I like how it writes, it also will reverse write to which is near a fine nib honestly so almost like two nib sizes in one nib.

Fantastic Pen
I collect fountain pens so I have several. I also write with them, they aren't just for looks. This pen is a great one and writing with it is a pleasure. I love being able to just click the pen rather than having to uncap it and post it. It writes really well. I do recommend using Pilot ink in it too. The pen has a nice weight to it and feel to it. The clip is upside down, meaning it's not by the clicker like you would expect but rather down by the nib. This is to ensure you don't get ink in your pocket and it's a smart idea for a fountain pen. Totally worth the money.

Writes finer and dryer than other Pilot M nibs
This pen writes finer and dryer than other Pilot M nibs.I like the heavy and thicker feel of the body compared to other Pilot Vanishing point nibs.I do like how smooth it writes. Not a hint of scratch that some F and EF nibs can have.

New favorite fountain pen!
I've wanted a Pilot Capless/Vanishing Point for so long. After saving for a while, I bought myself the Japanese "Special Alloy" Capless with M nib! I'm thrilled with everything-the rich color, the generous ink flow, the tactility. What a way to cap the year!

unbelievable it's so good
I really like fountain pens. Mont Blanc and Waterman are pretty, but if you leave them uncapped for 2 minutes, no matter how good the ink and the quality of the pen, it will dry out. This retractable pen is wonderful. It's a whole other level. It's sensational, I can only congratulate you. And this retractable pen in particular has an excellent cost-benefit ratio. If you use it, you won't want another one. It's perfect for everyday use, because it doesn't dry out. When you use it, when you want to pause, just click, there's no need to put the cap back on. It's incredible.
