Imagine buying a TV and having to buy a stand separately- Not happening here:
My wife's poor arms were getting exhausted holding up an unsharable ipad for movies between our minions on long drives. So we decided to invest in a car DVD system.I actually ordered and returned 2 systems before I came across this system. The Naviskauto 12" screen was just too big and in your face. The Wonnie 10" system was more expensive, and suffered from the same problems as all other systems- they all depend on a pathetic mounting system consisting of nylon webbing that holds things in place like a gummi bear would hold up a wall picture instead of a nail. So my wife's problem was not fixed. I'm specifically not discussing screen resolution, because let's face it, cell phone screen resolutions will all be superior, but remember how much you paid for that device instead. That being said, giving a kid an HD screen that they might break is a bad decision, and at 10" 1080p HD is completely unnecessary. This system has a MAJOR leg up on the competition for 2 reasons:1) Fangor included 2 power cords- one is the cigarette lighter, and the other is an internationally interchangeable DC outlet plug. Having a backup powersource is great, but no one else gives you an outlet cord, and finding second party cords with the right DC connectors is murder (RIP Radioshack). My car and many others are putting outlets in the center console, so being able to limit clutter in a car packed to the gills on long trips with kids is a HUGE plus.2) The hard plastic, screwed in bracket mounting system is GOLD. No, better- whatever you get if Platinum and Titanium have a baby. The provided bracket screws into the back of the screens like a real TV, holding it strongly, which NO one else does. Competitiors don't even have a screw pilot hole for a solid hold if you wanted to try to jury-rig a mounting system on your own. The bracket screws SECURELY down around the legs of your car's headrest. Aside from keeing the screen on the headrest, anyone who has used a laptop (which is an LCD screen usually), knows that the angle of the screen makes a huge difference, which this bracket fixes that issue completely. Lastly, accessory mounting systems still don't maintain the angle of the screen, AND can get quite expensive- the Naviskauto one cost $30 for just ONE screen! Imagine buying a TV, but having to pay 50% more just for a TV stand to use the TV! I applaud Fangor for this hugely!

Super disappointed
UPDATE!!!Originally a 1 star review and now a 5 star! The company saw our review- posted nearly a year after our purchase- and reached out to make it right. They sent a new dual screen dvd player to us at no charge. Both screens work great and we have faith they'll make it more than a half dozen car rides. Customer service was fantastic and we would feel comfortable recommending or ordering from them again. We bought this in 2022 for a long road trip. We had rear facing kiddos at the time and only used the one primary screen, worked great! One year later our kiddos are front facing and we’re off on another road trip- time for two screens! The secondary screen is broken and not functional at all. We’ve never used or traveled with it. We figure we can make one screen work and hang the primary screen. It worked for one use. Now it won’t move off the main screen and we’re unable to watch any dvds. It was disappointing enough that we paid for two screens only for one to arrive broken- not discovered until a year later- but for the primary component to only work a half dozen times is a huge let down. Super disappointed in this product.

Worked great til it didn’t/Can’t get ahold of anyone
UPDATE: The company reached and offered us a replacement! Very happy with the customer service I experienced. We received the replacement and my kid is so happy to have his dvd player back to working. We absolutely loved this product! Our kids was so thrilled to be able to pick out his own dvds and put them in, etc. It worked great and even had good battery life. However, we’re having an issue with it now. It says “OPEN” even when closed. It won’t play unless it recognizes that the device is closed. The thing isn’t even 6 months old. I went to the product page to find a support. The listing boasts 365 days of support/replacement along with 24/7 customer service. However, I can’t figure out how to talk to them! All the links through Amazon say the product isn’t eligible for support anymore. The sellers page has no way to reach out either. I’m frustrated with this problem.

Great for the grandkids!
I bought this for my 2 grandkids after traveling with them for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Our 5 hour road trip turned into an 8 hour one with some very unhappy kids. We are traveling again with them in a couple of weeks and I hope this will entertain them some and make the ride a happier one for everyone. I have not yet installed it as it is going in my daughter's car so will let you know on that later. I did set up the two players and checked out a dvd. Both units worked very well and the installation was a snap. Picture and sound were great. Love the remote control so we can control it from the front seat. Love that it picks back up at the same spot if the unit is turned off then back on again. The only cons I have are that the unit needs to be plugged in to work. Would have preferred to have a battery unit for less wires, but all in all it should work out fine. The other con is the units are smaller than advertised in pictures. I got the 10" screen, but the pics online make the units look like the size of a small laptop. This is not the case. It's smaller than my ipad but larger than my kindle, if that helps. All in all, I think this will work well for the kids. I know when we traveled with our young kids we defined the trip by how many movies they would watch (this is a two movie trip). It gave them a better sense of how long they would be in the car and made it more enjoyable for all of us.
