Best multidirectional scanner for the $
I'm a former technician and car enthusiast. Of everything German. I bought this for my 957 Cayenne to diagnose and perform output tests/ adaptations. Which it does everything you'd want or need a dealer to do. Such as evap tests, blend door actuator, battery/ service reset along with all other live data and setpoints.Recently bought the Mercedes software to use on my W211 E55 AMG. And it has everythig you can do with the dealer software Xentry/ star. You can code out 02'sensors, save Airmatic ride height if you want it lower/ higher. Along with adaptations/ coding/ live data of everything else. The controls are simple, easy and the screen brightness is fantastic.I will say coming from Autel/ Youcanic or any other 750+$ tools it obviously is not as intuitive or quick getting where you need to go menu wise. But if you are a DIY/ low volume mechanic. This is the tool for you.

Doesn't work as advertised
It was represented that it would work out of the box on 2011 porsche 997.2 to reset oil service interval. It doesn't. Tried for hours to update software, register it and to input date of oil change with no success. Turns out there is a known bug in the software. Update: after spending several more hours I finally registered and updated the device and was able to reset the service oil interval reminder. However, the only model years that show up when you go to reset it are 07, 08, and 09 even though the scanner had my VIN number and it is a 2011. The other problem is when you go to reset it you are told to put in today's date. If you do it comes up as error. You have to put in the date they give as an example of the format. I would not recommend this product.

Porsche scan tool
This Porsche scan tool worked perfectly on my 01 911 996 airbag issue. I needed to work on the door panels, removing the SAS airbag connection causing the airbag dash light to remain on. This scan tool found the fault and I was able to easily erase it. No more dash light. System is on line. Also works on other vehicles as well.I most definitely would recommend this scan tool

Good Tech Support, Problem Updating Firmware
Bought this in June 2024 for my 2023 Cayenne eHybrid, the 2022 718, and the 2017 911. Out of the box it worked great on all 3 cars. However, when I tried the wireless update recently (February 2025) it bricked the device. When it was plugged in, there would be no communication with the vehicle at all - even with manual entry of the VIN. I contacted tech support and they tried several things, but nothing worked. Since the unit was within the 1-year warranty, they sent me a shipping label and, once my unit was returned, a new NT510 elite. Tech Support was helpful and responsive, but I'm only giving 4 stars because the wireless software update failed, and they couldn't remedy the problem without me returning the unit.

cheap self diagnostic tool that saves money instead of going to a dealership.
i bought this for my Porsche Panamera.it is a simple device that scans the car and checks for fault codes.. and has the option to reset them.it has some basic live data capability and some diagnostics built in.it can also reset the maintenance light which you would otherwise have to go to the dealership to do.(basically this pays for the device if you do your own oil changes)BE WARNED, not all features specified work for all cars.. i have a Panamera which has very little options. i can clear codes and service light, and read some live data.there is also no way to know what features work for your car.. so you are forced to try it and find out.i saw some videos where you can use this device to program the cars features such as marker lights and dealer options.. but mine does not have this menu. which is sad because i wanted to use it to enable the feature to roll the windows up when i lock the car but its not supported for my car.it also doesn't seem to be able to calibrate the PDK.. which is a listed feature but does not work on my car. this is a huge deal because this procedure needs to be performed regularly to keep the clutches working perfectly.i also used this device to register a new battery.. i went from an H8 to a H9 size battery.. it said it was successful but there is no way to actually tell if it did anything.. so who knows. it also does not have a battery test feature and cant read the battery condition from the car.overall i give this 3 of 5 stars.. i am sort of disappointed with this device and will be seeking out returning it for a refund. if it did the things it advertises for MY car i would be happy with it..its a decent device, altho there are probably better options available for the same price, and some that are much cheaper. i think there is even a newer model available. if you have a car that this device fully supports its probably a good deal.one major thing that i don't like about this is how much it costs to add extra cars to the software. its sort of cost prohibitive to get this and then add a bunch of other car manufacturers if you don't have a shop or make money doing this as a job. also im not sure if you upgrade to a newer model if you can transfer your purchased modules. there are devices that is about the same price that have multiple car brands included.

Worked as Advertised
I immediately updated the device using my Laptop and the printed instructions without issue. With the ignition off the whole time, the unit powered up via the OBD port and I was able to register the 2016 Boxster S' new battery just following menus. I'm happy with the purchase.

Worth the price
I had an air bag light on in my 2001 Boxster S for years. I cleaned up the connector under my driver set… because the error code said driver side. Put the set back in, reinstall the battery and reset the error code and the light went out. It’ been off for 2months and counting. Took me about a half an hour for the repair. If l took my Boxster to the dealer for this repair… it would have taken all day and they would have charged me $280-$350
