Instant improvement
Used on an 8 year old laptop, download speed increased from 40mb down to 300mb. Plug and play, it's Intel so windows already has the drivers, and it was a direct replacement, and it has good signal strength.

Sadly, this product can not be driven as an Access Point (does not support infrastructure mode)
MQUPIN Intel HMW Dual Band Wireless Card-AC 7260I wanted this to add wireless infrastructure mode to a little PC box router firewall (the little black unit shown in the image) to give it Access Point capability. However, digging into FreeBSD drivers led to information that all Intel devices like this only work in client "service" mode and NOT the required infrastructure mode. In other words, these are NOT capable at performing as an Access Point. Therefore, no use for a PC router firewall device.I gave this two stars as the device may still have "client" mode purpose, though I'd rather use an usb one. Intel could and should do better than this. Item returned.
