One of favorite bags! Water proof, durable, convenient

I bought this bag to attach to my Origin8 front rack. It works well, it’s well insulated, sturdy, and durable.The only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 is the Velcro that is on the bottom. If you need to remove it regularly the Velcro will lose its binding integrity after some time. It’s also a pain in the rear to put back on.It would be quite easy for someone to steal also.And finally another reason for the missing 5th star is the strap that fastens the bag shut. If it isn’t rolled up in its little slot it will fall and get caught in your wheel and fork. It is almost impossible to keep it in the little pocket if you’re opening and closing it regularly.

Great inexpensive rack option.

Great price for a porteur bag, especially compared to what's out there. There's plenty of space for storage, to the point that I think you could fit a 30 rack with room to spare. There are two things keeping this from being a 5 star bag. First is the less-than secure "u-lock pocket," where the lock would rattle out easily, especially if the bag isn't full. The second is the inelegant attachment straps that are just four small velcro loops in the corners. It's plenty secure, but if you're pulling the bag on and off the rack frequently they're going to be annoying to work with. There aren't any handle straps, but you could use the main strap and buckle to act as a shoulder strap.

This bag is a major disappointment! There’s so many faults, where to begin!1) The pockets are crap. They’re too small and don’t hold anything, well, maybe the two pen slots will hold your pens.2) No external handles or straps or loops or anything of the kind, for you to walk around with bag. Or put lights on, or attach extra straps to.3) The front strap is so long that it will fall and get into your front wheel. And the pocket for it is a joke.4) If it’s empty or semi full, it’s so freaking loud your bike sounds like a dump truck bombing the streets.5) Etc etc…Origins 8 needs to fire their design team. And unfortunately, every bike shop seems to carry nothing but Origin 8 products. So I feel forced to buy these low quality, craptastic components that deliver only one thing every time, disappointment! I’ve been tricked by them too many times now and I will never buy another thing from them. They blow!

This bag requires a large front porteur rack such as the Surly 24 pack. I would not recommend using it on a smaller rack. It is fantastic for 2 bag grocery shopping or large packages. It also folds down quite well when not in use. I would not, however, take it on an extended bike tour as it does not have the rigidity required to keep weight from shifting. The small velcro mounts on the bottom would also not last long on a tour. I often augment these straps with a bungees to keep it more secure on the rack.

Only dislike with the bag is bo real way to secure the excess strap so I took a peice of velcro and made one for it but overall the bag is like a 4.8 star
