Awesome subwoofer it slams a lot harder than my ipx series skar did. Handles way more power too.

I have four of these in my tahoe and nailing them hard with 4000w @ 1 ohm! Sounds great still need to break them in some but already Sounds amazing!

Incredible what an 8" sub can do!I designed my own box in sketchup, following the volume specification provided on the Skar Audio website.Paired with a Skar 200w amp it gives me all the bass I could ever want in my 2004 Avalanche.

The bass is deep low and loud. I used a power acoustics amp rated at 2500 watts. It only runs less than half of that but it is perfect for a pair of these eights that sound like 12s. 2014 F150 with a rear under seat box. I'm now a big fan of skar.

I am a regular customer of Skar products for several years. I have ALWAYS been extremely satisfied with the high quality of craftsmanship. and the sound quality is IMHO better than brands that are 3x the cost. however, this particular subwoofer, after only 4 weeks, began to make a horrendous noise with a certain frequencies that i would describe as if it had paper or something laying against the sub causing it to rattle. but this is not the case. I checked the cone cap for looseness. Solid. checked the cone and baffle are both in perfect shape. no tears or seam separations. all I can think is that the coil got blown somehow. BUT i have never blown a SKAR sub before. and i have it wired into 1 ohm @ comeing from a Skar 1Ohm 800 Watt Amp with the gain all the way down. So if it is blown, this would be a first. worst part is i am just outside my Amazon return window. so I will try to reach out to Skar and see what they say, otherwise I'm SOL.

Replaced the blown factory sub in a 2011 Outback. Depth was no problem but you will need to drill new mounting holes. Huge upgrade from the Harmon Kardon factory sub.
