I've been feeding my 11.9 year old Rottweiler Merrick kibble his entire life. I sincerely contribute his older than average age for a Rottie to the quality of the Merrick kibble. Not a bunch of fillers and preservatives. And I just keep his bowl full and he eats when he's hungry. Fills him up faster too. Our dog became pickier over the years and use to love Merrick's beef. It's a hit and miss these days but from what we see in the ingredients and nutrition, it's a better compared to a lot of others. No issues with the food itself after many years on and off with different varieties as well.

Snuggles loves it. But she does like your backcountry brand the best. Either way, I’ve been giving her Merrick grain free since she was weaned and she’s 12 now and as healthy as ever. A vet even took a guess at her age and said 6.... I think grain free keeps them young and healthy. When I spend a little extra on food for my little loved one, I’m reminded of the Bradley Cooper character in the movie Hit and Run when he tells the dude next to him in the grocery line who is buying the cheap dog food, ‘ya that stuff is cheaper but it’s like 80% more poison...’ xD may be true...

Our dog loves beef and beef-flavored food. This is a high quality way to give him what he prefers and is a sneaky way to get him to eat vegetables.
