Best Godzilla Figure Ever
This figure has tight and satisfying joints, it has some heaviness that adds on the amazing feel. it can pull of amazing organic poses, and its sculpt is cute and cuddly with a adorable cat face, although its not as accurate the sculpt is still cute and awesome, he manages to be cute and intimidating and scary! like a teddy bear.the tail is super long and articulated exactly like the SHMA Shin Godzilla, this is by FAR the Best Neca godzilla ever to be created. A MUST GET IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE 1989 MOVIE GODZILLA VS BIOLLANTE!!!!

Neca Releases Some of its Best Figures Before Losing Godzilla License
Now that Neca has lost the Godzilla licence, their last two Godzilla figures have been outstanding. This version from Godzilla vs. Biollante is an excellent depiction and has a very long tail. As with most Neca figures the joints are a little stiff, but using a hair dryer will loosen them up. Great quality figure at a reasonable price.

Was NOT disappointed.
We took a leap of faith with this one, I thought it was kinda expensive. And so I read up on the reviews, which gave me hope. Placed the order, and the estimated arrival was kinda far out if you ask me. Pleasantly surprised when it didn't take the two weeks estimated delivery time. And even more surprised at the quality of the figure. Definitely worth the money. Very very detailed, from head to toe. And the tail? Very posable. WORTH THE MONEY. AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH IT. Also I should add it's better than the pics.

A Very Good Addition to NECA's Godzilla Line, but Buy Now If You Want It at an Affordable Price
With NECA's departure from the Godzilla property, G-Fan reactions have been split. The company's a hit and miss record with the Godzilla property has left a sour taste in some fan's mouths, though it has become more consistent in producing good-quality figures as of late. Thankfully, this figure follows that trend and, in spite of some shortcomings early on, NECA's tenure producing Godzilla figures goes out with a bang that even those still jaded can appreciate.Pros:a.) Very nice detail. The spines are handled with care and even the shape of the head crown is mostly right. One can look at this figure from a distance and easily recognize the intended design. I was afraid that they might've taken a cue from their Video Game Godzilla figure and simply re-purpose the 1994 model with minor alterations (for reference, the Video Game Godzilla was a repaint of the already subpar 1984 figure with modded plates and new paint, a choice that baffled most of the G-Fan collectors for several reasons). Thankfully, this is an entirely new sculpt, and a impressive one at that. Credit to NECA for taking fan criticism and continuously improving their quality. I've been genuinely surprised by their figures' consistent quality since the 1962 rendition.b.) Nice to see another Heisei design. I feared we wouldn't see this suit represented in light of the 1994 figure and NECA's disappointing 1984 release. Though, with this suit's popularity, I can see why they opted to adapt it.c.) The inclusion of an atomic breath effect is a welcome decision, as it was with the 1964 and 1962, as well as the other color variants for 2019, 2001, and 2016.d.) Box art is the fantastic Noriyoshi Ohrai movie poster for 'Godzilla vs. Biollante,' a personal favorite. Ohrai's artwork is also seen on their 1994 and 1995 figure boxes. Collectors can neatly line them together for a poster collage.e.) The paint job is well done. The eyes are the correct brown color, and not the often mistaken yellow seen in the later Heisei incarnations. The skin is a standard charcoal gray with a slight off-green tint, similar to the SHMA figure. There's also dark accents between the tail to give depth. Spines are bone white with a similar dark gray in the center. The paint adds to the texture.f.) The tail is long and sturdy, yet flexible. Godzilla can stand his ground without compromising articulation.g.) Considering there's been a general understanding among kaiju fans that NECA is an affordable, still (generally) high-quality alternative to SH Figuarts/Monsterarts, this fills a niche for a 6"-7" 1989 figure, as SHMA's is much larger and does not scale well to other monsters in it's own line.h.) This figure actually came a few days early. Nice to see quick delivery, though an addendum follows.Cons:a.) The figure's box came with a puncture on the side from the left foot not being bound in place. This seems to be on the manufacturer and/or delivery service, not the seller (who actually seems to have made a good effort in packaging it). It's not very noticeable, but will likely be an issue for those collecting the box art.b.) The mouth is on a small hinge, so the center of the angle rests just behind the tongue and not near the throat. The result is a jaw that looks dislocated if opened too far. Closed and partial-open positions are not bad, but the mouth looks off when fully opened. Unfortunately the jaw must be opened wide for the atomic breath to fit inside.c.) A minor nitpick: the forearms look a little lanky if not bent. Nothing to rant about, but they look odd at certain angles if extended. It might be because the skin looks tighter than it is on the real suit.d.) When NECA announced it would be losing the license, most realized that this and the 2003 Godzilla would be the last in this line for a while. Hence, there's been a drastic spike in price from the original $29.99. Thankfully the seller's price was not as bad as I expected ($38), prices are ballooning elsewhere, as high as $45. If you're thinking about a purchase, decide quickly before the scalpers jack the prices higher than they are even now.So-so's:a.) The breath effect is a nice addition, but does not stand out as much as the other figures from the line. There's an attempt to create a swirling effect, which is also a nice detail, though seems a bit too emphasized.b.) Considering that I previously mentioned the inclusion of another Heisei design being a nice inclusion, it's only fair to point out an issue with the line in general that this figure could benefit from: other kaiju. While the figure itself is a great addition, NECA's attention solely on Godzilla in this line is disappointing. While they have some fantastic sculpts of the King of the Monsters, ultimately collectors will end up with shelves of the same character. Some may just be collecting Godzilla's incarnations, but biven the context that the franchise is arguably best known for kaiju fights, it's odd that NECA would skip out on other characters. The only three other monsters present in this series are 2019 Mothra and 2019 Rodan (the latter of which is quite rare to come by at a reasonable price), as well as a King Kong that is an original design inspired by the 1933, 2005, and 2016 movies. If you want a Biollante or King Ghidorah to go with this Godzilla for a movie-accurate display, your best bet is with SHMA, which many do not have the pocket for. It might not be so head-scratching if not for a "Biollante Bile" variant set to release, which would see this mold drizzled with fluorescent green paint. An interesting concept, but pointless without a Biollante to go with it. Perhaps it was a licensing issue or NECA did not feel confident in the other monsters, but it remains a lost opportunity for the company and collectors alike. While not the best outing in NECA's Godzilla series, the 1989 suit is replicated in great detail, outshining most of their other Godzilla figures. I would personally rank it third or fourth in their line, behind the 2014, 2001, and possibly 1954 models.Overall, a great figure for those following the line.8.5/10

A whale of a tail
This toy captures the true spirit of Godzilla: a big, fat doofy dinosaur monster. Modern takes are too obsessed with making him edgy and bad@#$. Classic, classic, classic.I saw online that people are complaining about the face sculpt and I was initially concerned about that as well! However, I find that it looks much better in person and simply does not seem to photograph very well. If you are on the fence for this reason I would say don't worry about it unless you are planning on entering this toy in an Instagram beauty pageant.

Pretty good figure
I honestly liked this one very much, very movie accurate and is pretty cool. I didn’t expect to get the Godzilla breath so it’s pretty neat to get that. The only hard part about this was putting the tail on, you really should soak it in hot water for about 30 seconds to be able to pop it in otherwise you’ll just be fighting yourself
