When these tongs first arrived, I thought that there would be no way that they would work since they're so small -- but they're great! The flat side goes underneath the waffle, and it helps you gently lift each waffle out, with no falling apart. They're easy to clean, and the sliding lever means that you can lock them into place so that they're closed. The red color is also fun!For years and years, I've used a regular set of tongs to remove waffles from the waffle iron, and the waffles would get stuck or fall apart. Not so with these tongs.These are one of those nice kitchen tools that you didn't realize you needed until you had one!

Recently purchased a very expensive Belgian Waffle maker that has non-stick coating. This definietly protects and gets waffles out of machine with very little fuss.

I got this to extract waffles from our waffle iron. But in practice it’s not very useful for this. The extracting piece is blocked by the opposing arm. A plastic fork works much better.

Bad, will fall apart.

This tool works great for removing waffles from a Waffle maker. The soft coating allows for the tongs to pick up a Waffle without scratching a Teflon surface like a fork would. Plus, it's easier to not get burned when you use the right tool/ utensil.These tongs also have a locking mechanism to keep them closed, as well as a hole on the end for the ability to hang them up. The design makes it easy to pick up the waffle without crushing or damaging it. The forked side let's you easily get under the waffle.All in all, great inexpensive buy to make waffling easier and your waffle maker last longer.

I've used this product many times over many years. Very glad I purchased it and absolutely no issues for me using it to remove hot waffles out of my Belgium waffle maker. Would definitely purchase this product again.
