My first grader son loved these books and could not put them down! Our last name is Holmes which made it even more fun for him. He told me all the stories and what happened in them afterward so he understood the stories and remembered them - so these were good for reading comprehension. I am still going to have him read the books to me to verify he read all the words properly ;-) But this set was perfect for quiet time so I could get some chores done.

Simple mystery stories for young readers. My first grader read above his class level and had a great time with these!

The mystery solving hamster in these stories runs on a wheel, but also uses Morse Code. Good reading for kids!
