This book should be called 'how to brainstorm brilliant content ideas'
This book is essentially a very practical methodology that you apply immediately. I read it in a single sitting (it's quite funny in places too) and thought up loads of ideas as I was going through it. Recommended.

One of the best assets you can have as a creator
Hear me out: My job involves writing in-depth content for some of the best B2B software companies. It’s hard work. As I read Melanie’s book, my brain kept coming up with all these ideas on how I can write even better and come up with new and untapped ideas for my clients. I read about marketing and writing a lot, and books that make my brain get into gear this much are rare!More importantly, this book isn’t just for consultants or product marketers that hope to do a better job for their clients and bosses. It’s for *anyone* looking to tell better stories for their companies. One of the most fascinating elements of this book is the amount of examples Melanie offers within her framework. She talks about 10 focuses and 10 formats, and for each of them, she offers examples for businesses like restaurants, non-profits, financial experts, mechanics, airports, and more. Whatever your industry, this will work for you.This book is one of the best assets you can have as a creator. Highly recommended!

Ok but I was hoping for more
The first half with 10 focuses was interesting, but the second half with 10 formats felt more like filler and the prospect of the 10 formats x 10 focuses to get 100 ideas didn’t gel with me.There was some useful advice in the focus section that I can build on, but I don’t feel that this book has really ‘fuelled’ my ability to create content as implied.I don’t regret spending money on it or the time reading it, but it’s worth considering whether it is exactly what you’re hoping for.
