Go ahead and get the double filter housing instead of the single.
Just do it. I hate the taste of chlorine--and sometimes the city water tastes like dirt. Don't do just one like I did--Go ahead and get the double filter: One for sediment and one for chlorine and taste. One did ok, but two is a lot better. I like to drink straight out of the tap, and these filters allow me to do that.

I wouldnt call the bracket "Heavy Duty"
The cartridge holder is very sturdy. The Water inlet/outlet cap is solid as well. The pressure relief valve is something I am looking forward to using (I have busted wrenches in the past trying to dislodge the cartridges under pressure). I am disappointed in the bracket. The original one in my motorhome was heavier gauge and was welded in its compartment. Maybe I was spoiled. I forgot to empty the water and remove the cartridge from my old one this past winter and now, had to buy a new one. I just installed it today. So, I will update this review if it is better or worse than expected.

Highly recommend
Great Quality, you have to use a ton of Teflon tape, but overall it works

Great Whole House Water Filter
This is my first whole house water filtration system. This is the smaller size I0” long. We have excellent water flow in our two bedroom home. It’s only been 18 days since I installed it on our mobile home hooked up to city well water. The filters are pure white before use. Look how much sediment it’s trapping! I included a picture of one of the 5 micron filters in the 4 pack I purchased together as a money savings deal. I recommend you also go that route. I decided to install a filter because of our water heater having heavy amounts of sediment inside after purchasing the place August of this year. I was also wanting to protect the valves in all our new appliances from damage. I think of how this sediment was getting all over me taking a shower! I knew there was a degree of sediment in any tap water. But not this much! I can’t say how much I highly recommend this filter. It’s a very reasonable price for the water filter and 4 pack of filters. Sad to say all the copper hardware cost more than the filter and cartridges. But I wanted to get away from using galvanized pipe.Sealant tape is supplied and a replacement pressure release valve rebuild kit. A canister wrench is included with the kit. Follow all the instructions provided. Use plenty of the included sealant tape especially at the fittings on the filter. I had to redo because of skimping. Follow the instructions. They give special directions on tightening fittings. I also carefully made sure the filter is in the shade at all times. A worry I have about sunlight & UV causing growth of some kind in the filter assembly. I highly recommend this filter!

Unmitigated junk - leaks like crazy from pressure relief valve + annoying seller communications
It took me about ten minutes to regret purchasing this piece of junk. As other reviews note, the pressure relief valve leaks no matter what -- and the manufacturer obviously knows it is a problem, because they send a replacement relief valve kit with it! I spent more on fittings than I spent on this canister, and wasted considerable time doing the install, only to find that this thing is incapable of containing water.I highly recommend that you buy something else. I'll be tearing this down, returning it, and searching for another product -- probably locally, since this kind of low quality bad experience is becoming par for the course for things purchased through Amazon.EDIT: I am updating this review due to the continuous contact I have had from the seller since I submitted it. First, they offered to "address any issues or concerns," and to "work to resolve the issues." That was useless, as I had already processed the return and refund through Amazon. Plus, there is no way to address or resolve a water filter housing which is incapable of containing water.Second, the following day, they contacted me again and offered to replace the product by sending me a "backup." It was unclear whether this would be free or at my cost, but in either case, I was not interested and did not respond. They offered to "meet my requirements" to "solve this issue with a wonderful ending," which I suppose means that I could have demanded something in return for editing or deleting my negative review. As noted, I did not respond.Third, a week later, I was again contacted, this time purportedly to discuss why I was returning the housing as an "unwanted item." The message from SimPure implied that I didn't want it because "it didn't meet my needs," to gather information to correct anything "inaccurate on the product detail page." I did not appreciate the implication that I returned the item because it did not meet my need. It was exactly what I needed -- or would have been, if it had the ability to contain water without leaking. I suppose if there is an inaccuracy on the product page, it is the statement that this plastic bucket will hold water and not leak.Although never stated (to avoid violating Amazon policy), it always seemed obvious that SimPure was fishing for a way to make me retract or at least tone down my negative review. Ultimately, all they accomplished was this edit -- my first ever in nearly 20 years of using Amazon -- to reflect an even more negative experience than originally experienced. In the end, I bought an AO Smith filter housing locally at the big box store, at a lower cost -- along with a couple of filter cartridges. That item installed easily and didn't leak a drop -- leaving me far more satisfied than SimPure's product and barrage of communications.
