3 LED Lights the Best
I only had one driver, and got tired of switching between the drill and screw bits. No knock on DeWalt, but I wanted a little less powerful driver. You can see all the Youtube videos comparing Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, and such to help make your decision. The three mentioned all rate very high.I chose this DeWalt because of the 3 speeds, and 3 LED lights. So far, it's done everything my Milkwaukee M18 Fuel driver has done. But I'm a DIY'er, and don't need to drive 10" lags into a 6x6.This handles a 3.5" construction screw through a 1x, drywall and into the wall stud, very easily. Yet on power speed 1, it's manageable for my 9 yo son to drill holes and screw things in without feeling overwhelmed. This has been a pleasure to see, him working with power tools, safely. M18, even on speed 1, is too strong. Both drivers have trigger variable speed control too. I mostly use speed 2 on this XR.DeWalt's 3 LED lights are superior to all else out there. There is no shadow. The point of attack is clear and bright. All makers need to copy this LED array. Just put your tail between your legs, and copy the LED lights. The one handed collet is a joy. With one hand, pull the collet down, bit ejects a little and is released, pull bit out with same hand. LOVE IT, ONE HAND! My M18, no hands sometimes, as it does have the collet issue where it fails to lock, and bit falls out by itself, otherwise, use one hand to pull collet down, pull bit out with other hand. Not this DeWalt!!!Also, this kit is great. Hard case, two batteries. Also, they are 2.0ah, instead of the cheapo 1.3 or 1.5's most cheap sales are associated with.Again, the youtube comparison videos will help you with the rest of the decision making. I think this was a great purchase for me, to work alongside my M18 Fuel driver. I just wanted to highlight a couple features that I am enjoying more than expected.

Best deal for quality impact driver
To sum up if u dont want to read a lengthy review is...Best deal in brushless impact driver! By a good amount to!! This is a amazing driver i am sooo glad i did not cheap out and get the $99 brush version( i would never had because it did not have power settings i would of gotten the $107 makita kit but brushless is the way to go and dewalt is a awesome brand. Ive always loved makita and milwaukee but i am switching to dewalt. The best part is the tools are actually real cheap once u own the charger and batteries!*****Okay i spent over a week deciding between originally the $99 dewalt or the $105 makita with makita being the one i wanted. Then i heard how loud they were. Also dewalt is USA made and every bit as good! Soo i found out how brushless motors last 2 times longer and give a power boost of 20%. Is it that inportant probably not with other tools but this is a impact driver. The most used tool most people own. Also this model unlike the cheaper brush motor version has 3Settings 1 is drill mode2 is light impact mode3 is 1850inch lbs of torque! Now that may only come out to about 160 ft lbs that is a lot of power for such a small tool! This is enough power to make the difference with cracking bolts loose not on ur car but i mean just tight nuts and bolts.Something the 12v models just cant do and some 18v struggle. Not this one it is a 20v but it has more power than most 20v! It is a awesome tool and a great deal the 2 batteries and charger and case areWorth over $150 if bought alone! The 2.0 amp hour may be small for a brush mother but this brushless lasts as long with the 2.0 as a brush does with a 3.0-4.0. So u get a real small light package. It is the beat deal in brushless no question!

One of the best tool purchases I've ever made!
This is invaluable. I tried out a number of impact drivers before settling on this one and I'm very happy with my decision. What I like about this tool is its versatility. On the "1" power setting, it acts like a power screwdriver for delicate work and there is a noticeable pause before the impact hammer kicks in. This makes it able to do jobs that I would have normally been afraid to try an impact driver on. If you switch it to 2 or 3, the thing hammers away like a beast. There was plenty of power for lag bolts and long wood screws and I never felt like the driver struggled at all. Battery life is great too and I don't think I would ever need the larger extended batteries (i think I actually like the weight of these and the extended ones would make it more fatiguing). The tool is well designed and ergonomic. The 3 LED lights are great because it illuminates all around whatever you're driving in, so there's no weird shadows. The pull hex chuck is a nice design too, as I can usually swap out a bit one-handed.Very happy with this purchase and I'd recommend this without a doubt.

Powerful and versatile.
Remarkable tool. Just built a deck using this. It easily drives inch deck screws and even lag bolts. The 3 speed torque control works well. The low speed allows good control for smaller screws, while the medium and high provide speed and power for driving longer screws and lags. Despite the considerable torque, I did not snap off any dech screws while driving them. The chuck works well--just press in to insert, pull back collar to remove. Charging is fast, with little heat build up. I have the smaller 2 Amp hour battery, but even that allows you to work for a long time, much longer than the charge cycle. The built in LED lighting works well and evenly illuminates the work surface. Works best with hex shaft bits, particularly those designed for use with impact tools, but I also used it with a three jaw chuck and that worked well also. Can't thin of a downside of this tool. Maybe the belt clip, because it seemed a bit short, but it seemed to hold on just fine as well.
